Glad to hear Chase appears to be okay. Hoping for the same for Berkeley. That looked really bad.

Got to remember sometimes that these are just kids, and it’s just a game. Really hope Berkeley is going to be okay.

So, medical peeps ... What are we looking at here? An AC Joint deal like Gary? Something like a labrum injury? Stinger? I assume the X-ray only rules out broken/fractured bones. I think he was hurt before he even hit the ground. He just laid on the ground motionless, before the guy even jumped on him. It was a weird play.

Not to be be negative nancy, but its ''The Game'' week. Do you think Harbaugh is going to come out and say "It's over for Chase. He suffered season ending injuries".

Of course not.

We won't hear a lick out of this injury until 1 minute before kickoff next Saturday.

Coach is gonna make Urban prep like Chase is playing.

I don’t think he would do this if he knew Chase was out for the season and might want to take something up with league about the officiating. Not to mention, to say this without knowing (or knowing it not to be true) would mean telling an outright lie (rather than saying he doesn’t know), and we all know that liars never win.

Not to be a Permit Patty, but your lack of an apostrophe in contracting “it is” is totally against the rules. You need the correct “it’s” because The Game doesn’t own itself. Also, you don’t need quotes around The Game, so, like...I already called the grammar police.

Great to hear.  Love that MI Stadium also has the equipment and setup to be able to make early diagnoses rather than having to scramble to find someplace that does.

Don’t have a link but Chase just retweeted someone tagging him in an Undertaker coming out of the casket gif on twitter about an hour ago. So maybe that’s good news?

Of course I hope Chase is OK and at full strength, but I think our only indispensable player is Shea.  D-line depth is great and there was little drop-off with Gary out.

The injury to Winovich is unfortunate. But, stop with the whining about a “dirty” play. Football is a violent game and this was a violent play. All linemen are taught to continue blocking to the whistle. Chase is one of our best players and draws particular attention.

Its unfortunate that he was injured (almost certainly) before the second hit, but taking him out of the play is not dirty.

To all of you who have not played football, if you think that every player, offense and defense, is not trying to lay the hardest hit possible on each and every play, to hurt the opponent, you are mistaken. Not cause and injury, but hurt.

Usually the OLineman would just keep pushing him down with his hands in that case since he was already down and he didn't pancake him. Throwing your whole body weight on him when he's down and away from the play is just a dirty hit.

Do they really teach players to launch into someone that is already on the ground? I was on 11w and they had a thread rejoicing Chase's injury. Blu.fan stated it was dirty and everyone had the same response you said about it being legal...

Hitting someone already on the ground is a dirty hit and should have been called. That idiot that hit Edwards for no damn reason might have thought twice.
