Is This The Most Harbaugh Team At Michigan
This team is the first team I look at and say they mirror their coach. From The Revenge Tour talk to just playing like mean bulldogs.
This team has a Harbaugh like chip on their shoulders.
Years past the teams seemed ready, but this is the first team who seems fully bought in to Harbaugh's world and fully dedicated.
Maybe it is because the Seniors are the first group that he has seen go the full 4 years.
Either way I hope this type of team is what we get for Harbaugh's Coaching tenure and UM. GO BLUE!!!!

short of cloning 92 Ben Masons......yes it is.
November 5th, 2018 at 5:00 PM ^
The honest crazy part..
I could see a team of 92 Ben Masons winning a few football games. Sure, they wouldn’t go head to head with the elites of every conference, but Ben Mason U would still beat the Minnesota’s, Illinois, and Rutger of the world.
Im sure he can throw a football decent, and we already know he can long snap.
If they ever make another NCAA video game I’m trying this.

Would a team of 92 Ben Masons beat a team of 92 of anybody else on Michigan? We've seen him run, block, and tackle.
I might take 92 Rashans or Winoviches, though.
November 5th, 2018 at 10:35 PM ^
92 gentrys would present matchup problems
November 5th, 2018 at 7:58 PM ^
Obviously a team of Ben Masons would run the triple-option.
November 5th, 2018 at 9:01 PM ^
No, it would run the single option,
and that option would be Ben Mason.

The old Maryland I.

Was thinking this exact same thing. Even Harbaugh is more Harbaugh-y this year. Last year he was a bit genteel and not willing to say anything to the media that was controversial; probably because we were't backing much of it up on the field.
This year he is more fiery on the sidelines, more impetuous in the press room, and more willing to put his foot on the throat of the opponent in a blowout. I like the Harbaugh-y Harbaugh.

I really feel like after the MSU game Harbaugh got a giant weight lifted off his shoulders and is letting it all hang out now. A lot of fun, personality, and enthusiasm unknown to mankind.
Go Blue!
November 5th, 2018 at 4:49 PM ^
Agreed. I was thinking to that post MSU celebration video. Seems like a lot more swagger after that.
November 5th, 2018 at 7:54 PM ^
100% this. He has the team to back it up. In addition, don't let Shea Pattersons casual demeanor fool you. That guy has some fire to him. When he threw that touchdown to Nico Collins at MSU and he turns to the MSU fans and puts his right index finger to his mount to "hush" the crowd was awesome. Been a long time since Michigan had a QB with some swag. This team has some dog in them. They are hungry, bitter, angry, been disrepected, been made fun of, told their coach is overrated, had a bunch of heartbreaking losses and told they are maybe the 4th best team in the conference. I have zero doubt they will be focused for the next two games. This season is personal to this team.
Here is the best part. Harbaugh knows they got to back this up next year too and he believes he has a team that can do it.

Finish the job.
I’m ecstatic about where we are but there is much work to do yet. I think this is Harbaughs best college team, but we were pretty high on our team 2 years ago and didn’t finish the season well. Stating the obvious but it’s still true.
November 5th, 2018 at 4:10 PM ^
I'm with you. Enjoying the moment but reserving most feelings for after the season.
November 5th, 2018 at 4:46 PM ^
I'll third this. One game at a time.
November 5th, 2018 at 6:56 PM ^
That [2016] team reminded me of that 2007 Stanford team that walked into USC and upset them in the Coliseum, but all year long, not just one game. All drive, not all necessarily Harbaugh’s talent.
Now we’re looking at a full Harbaugh team, loaded with 90% of his guys (10% transitional guys/previous Hoke recruits)
November 5th, 2018 at 4:08 PM ^
Dantonio was taking notes from Harbaugh on #respekt or what happens when #properrespekt is not shown
November 5th, 2018 at 4:14 PM ^
A lot of promise has been shown. The '16 team was pretty Harbaugh, to my eyes, but beset by injuries and shitluck.
November 5th, 2018 at 7:02 PM ^
And lack of Harbaugh recruited guys. Nothing against any past, present, or future Michigan player, but these kids are just different. DPJ, Collins, & Black are a great combo of receivers, where as Darboh and Chesson were very similar.
I loved DeVeon, but Higdon is that typical Iowa back (that we conincesentally flipped from Iowa on signing day) that just grinds yards and then BUSTS out for a 40-yarder in every game.
Also, Shea is a QB that’s a mix of who knows what... Denard/Henne hybrid?

To borrow from Ace. “Fully Operational”
November 5th, 2018 at 4:31 PM ^
makes sense. these are his recruits coming of age. this is just the beginning folks!
November 5th, 2018 at 4:42 PM ^
Fuckin’ A.
November 5th, 2018 at 4:49 PM ^
I actually agree with this - there is something far more "Harbaugh" about this team, and it has been a pleasure to watch even through maddening series and moments, but such is the life of a fan. I will say, however, a portion of this has yet to play out, but it is definitely has the sort of feel I think we expected from the moment he exited the plane in December 2014.
November 5th, 2018 at 4:50 PM ^
Most Harbaugh to date. they'll just get more Harbaugh as the years go on.
November 5th, 2018 at 4:58 PM ^
If this team is full Harbaugh, Shea will guarantee a win in Columbus and Higdon will deliver it. (Hopefully, excluding the loss the weak prior to Minnesota -- or Indiana this year.)

No, I would say softball is the most Harbaugh team at Michigan. Hutch was Harbaugh long before Harbaugh was Harbaugh. Hutch-Baugh?

I’m a life long UM fan despite being born and raised in the SF Bay Area. My Dad was a huge UM fan.
Because of my geographic location I got to see a ton of the early Harbaugh coaching era: in Fact, I’m a University of San Diego Undergrad Alum before law school in the Bay near 49er HQ
This team looks a ton like the early years. Stanford stepped away from the zone read concepts because he got Andrew Luck(y). Then, with the 49ers, when faced with a real choice, he chose to ride with a new quarterback, Kappernick, and not bringing back Alex Smith after he was healthy. Super Bowl
When it’s all said and done, I believe Harbaugh sees the distinct advantage a mobile qb brings, all other things being equal. He’s shown an ability to adapt over the years.
It will always have a distinct flavor of toughness.
November 5th, 2018 at 10:26 PM ^
Yes.
I'm actually reminded of that old jingle from the 70s. When you say Donnnn Brownnnn, you said it all!!
November 6th, 2018 at 7:45 AM ^
I don’t anticipate hanging with a Bama team if we’re lucky enough to have the chance, but I believe we aren’t far off.
