both teams pissed away opportunities. horrendous play calling. iowa is slow and stanley is not a good qb. mcsorley injured his knee but still ran for a 50 yard td. says more about iowa sucking than penn state being any good.
October 27th, 2018 at 8:52 PM ^
there was a whole lot of stupid going on in that game. ferentz and franklin took turns in a bizarre game of chicken; they repeatedly punched themselves in the balls until one flinched. and stanley is a horrible qb; two really bad interceptions and was missing wide open guys left and right
October 27th, 2018 at 10:46 PM ^
Did either of them ever flinch?
October 27th, 2018 at 9:20 PM ^
Iowa came into the game with the #10 defense (per NCAA stats), but the toughest team they played was Wisconsin - who beat them in the corn field. PSU had to work a bit to get yards, but they had plenty of big plays, and benefitted from a couple of TO's.
So long as the D doesn't give up big plays, PSU is fucked next week. They are not quipped to grind out yards and scores against a defense like Michigan's. And their defense is just a loose butt hole. I mean, Stanley is not good at QB'ing and still found yards through the air. Enough, in fact, that the RB scooted 5-6 ypc...
It's going to be a massacre.
October 27th, 2018 at 8:47 PM ^
Well Texas is overrated
October 27th, 2018 at 8:56 PM ^
Good lord, the Texas DL was pushed 7 yards downfield.
October 27th, 2018 at 8:57 PM ^
devin bush would eat these RBs alive and gary/winovich/uche/dwumfour/kemp would be meeting at the qb all game long
October 27th, 2018 at 8:58 PM ^
The frequency in which RBs run out of bounds when they can cut up field for another couple yards drives me nuts.
October 27th, 2018 at 8:59 PM ^
Okla St around 260 yds in the first qtr and about to punch it in again. Good lord Texas
October 27th, 2018 at 9:16 PM ^
Go Pokes!
also, go Navy, but that’s already pretty much over.
October 27th, 2018 at 9:16 PM ^
Switching between Washington-Cal and Texas-Oklahoma State. Not an impressive slate, but fairly watchable.
.....and Oklahoma State is about to go up 24-7 on Texas. Outside zone stuff is not in Texas' wheelhouse.
October 27th, 2018 at 9:21 PM ^
Bunting with a ST tackle for Cal.
October 27th, 2018 at 10:06 PM ^
also chipped in 3 catches for 12 yards.
October 27th, 2018 at 9:24 PM ^
It would be good to see Texas eliminated tonight but these games last forever and there is no defense in the Big 12.
October 27th, 2018 at 9:28 PM ^
and just like that it's 24-14. Will probably end up something like 59-55
October 27th, 2018 at 9:55 PM ^
31-14 now.
Okla St has 378 yds of offense in the first half (kicking off w/ 1:17 remaining in the 2nd quarter).
October 27th, 2018 at 9:25 PM ^
texas more like texass, can't believe some had them ahead of us
October 27th, 2018 at 9:36 PM ^
Big 12 games are garbage most of the time
October 27th, 2018 at 9:29 PM ^
4:51 to go Cal up by 2 with the ball on the 25.
October 27th, 2018 at 9:38 PM ^
ROLL ON YOU BEARS!!!!
October 27th, 2018 at 9:31 PM ^
OMG...this stupid Mazda commercial is on...every...damn...commercial break. Sometimes 2, 3 times per commercial break.
October 27th, 2018 at 9:35 PM ^
Joe Moorehead vs Jimbo Fisher show is pretty good
October 27th, 2018 at 9:36 PM ^
Well, I turned on UT-OkSU just as OkSU was kicking the PAT to go up 24-7. I've gotten to see UT drive for a quick TD and get a stop. Maybe I should turn it off...
October 27th, 2018 at 9:37 PM ^
ROLL ON YOU BEARS!!!!
October 27th, 2018 at 9:48 PM ^
That was legal? Seems like a massive false start.
October 27th, 2018 at 9:48 PM ^
Intent to deceive.
October 27th, 2018 at 9:51 PM ^
That was some intent to deceive if I have ever seen it.
October 27th, 2018 at 9:52 PM ^
absolutely. they behaved like they would have if the ball was snapped.
October 27th, 2018 at 9:52 PM ^
Make no mistake, Oklahoma State came to play tonight
October 27th, 2018 at 9:54 PM ^
those texas DBs are going to get some shit at halftime for that one
October 27th, 2018 at 9:55 PM ^
The officials have too! 3 horrible spots of the football (2 on review) that have gone against Oklahoma State.
October 27th, 2018 at 9:56 PM ^
Just turned on wsu/stanford game so haven’t seen any of the throws but the stat lines for both QBs are very impressive. Super efficient. Hoping if we need to score quickly in a shootout Shea can dial it up like that.
October 27th, 2018 at 9:57 PM ^
#2 for ok state ballin out like Braylon (before he became a giant douche)
October 27th, 2018 at 10:01 PM ^
Why not at least try a hail mary there? I hate that
October 27th, 2018 at 10:03 PM ^
Nice job Ok St exposing Texas. Such a fraud
October 27th, 2018 at 10:03 PM ^
Barry! Barry!
October 27th, 2018 at 10:05 PM ^
TAMU-Miss St looks like an intrasquad scrimmage.
October 27th, 2018 at 10:17 PM ^
Fitzgerald just went for 76, so I'd say the confusion is all on TAMU's part...
October 27th, 2018 at 10:27 PM ^
Jeez that OSU DB has hands of stone. That would have been a big pick
October 27th, 2018 at 10:31 PM ^
Nice week for a bye. Looks like about half the top 25 is going to lose. Granted most of them are in the bottom half of the 25, but it'll be a big shake up in the rankings.
October 27th, 2018 at 10:33 PM ^
Incredible what Mike Leach is able to accomplish. He goes to Pullman and within a couple years is on the brink of a Pac-12 championship game (destroyed by Washington T-giving weekend I think). Now he's on track a year later to do the same. I know his teams are/have been flawed (all are, save for 2,3 around the country), on defense of course, but they're fun and they go win games against the competition they're made to play. Something the previous "how many" coaches couldn't do up there. And that's not mentioning his work at Texas Tech, another program of at-best-mediocrity.
October 27th, 2018 at 10:33 PM ^
Meanwhile, Michigan's Rich Hill just left the game to a standing ovation, after spinning his curve masterfully for 6 1/3 innings of 1- hit ball. LA leading right now 4-0 as they go to the bullpen
October 27th, 2018 at 10:34 PM ^
Maybe Dax Hill's brother could be a grad transfer to UM down the road.
October 27th, 2018 at 10:34 PM ^
With Stanford falling off a cliff Michigan is the premier combination of football and academics in the country. Time to pour it on.
October 27th, 2018 at 10:35 PM ^
These refs suck at spotting the ball. So much wasted time reviewing spots
October 27th, 2018 at 10:42 PM ^
Get Texas out of the top 15. Beating Oklahoma is something even a 4-8 Texas can accomplish.
October 27th, 2018 at 10:54 PM ^
About non UM games next week...
we definitely don’t want LSU to beat Bama, right?
and if NW can beat ND that’s just gravy.
Im not really seeing other games that we should be very interested in at all.
October 27th, 2018 at 10:58 PM ^
Agreed.
Really want M to beat PSU. I am afraid of Mcsorely and how he can squirrel for yards. If we can bottle him M should win. Also just saw boxscore and iowa outgained PSU. The heck Iowa , you had one job to do you tosser!
October 27th, 2018 at 11:02 PM ^
i am confident michigan beats penn st next week
