I believe took their helmets off during the celebration

That’s what I noticed as well. They took their helmets off.

whew, glad that's all it was.
was afraid it would be something serious, like smiling or making a noise.
October 15th, 2018 at 9:01 PM ^
I figured they took it out
October 15th, 2018 at 9:24 PM ^
No, see, these are Michigan football players, not Ohio State football coaches.
October 16th, 2018 at 7:42 AM ^
The flag was for following Lavert around after the pick-6. We are supposed to be Leaders -- not followers.
October 15th, 2018 at 10:39 PM ^
Winovich did too. Distinctly remember it, no flag
October 16th, 2018 at 12:16 AM ^
Nothing against guys that like the same gender but I'm pretty sure I heard from a friend of a friend that the two refs that saw Winovich with the helmet off were turned on by those golden smooth locks. I don't even know if locks is the right word but I'm just saying you cant have refs out there checking out the football players. They cant do their job worth a shit the way it is.

It's 2018 homie, you can just admit you think he's glorious.
October 15th, 2018 at 8:51 PM ^
Originally I thought it was because he gave the security guard/officer a lo-five in the endzone. But taking off the helmet is a dumb reason.
October 15th, 2018 at 9:30 PM ^
that's an automatic penalty
October 15th, 2018 at 10:31 PM ^
Oh my gosh! They did what!!? That is so egregious! That should be an ejection and 1 game suspension the following game.
October 15th, 2018 at 8:30 PM ^
They celebrated.
October 16th, 2018 at 7:46 AM ^
So did I....Hope there's lots of celebrating this Saturday too.
October 15th, 2018 at 8:33 PM ^
I thought Winovich took his helmet off too
October 15th, 2018 at 8:37 PM ^
They smiled!
October 15th, 2018 at 8:38 PM ^
They were having way too much fun. How dare they enjoy themselves!
October 15th, 2018 at 8:46 PM ^
At that point NOBODY CARED!!!
October 15th, 2018 at 8:59 PM ^
If this season keeps moving in the right direction, that will be the official statement moment of “We’re back, everyone who’s been on our case can fuck right off.”
I get super righteous about the way guys conduct themselves on the field (Felton Davis waving to the PSU crowd after his TD kind of stuff infuriates me). Had 0% issue with that penalty. It was joy, not taunting. And, all the haters can fuck right off.

excessive stretching
October 15th, 2018 at 8:55 PM ^
Like everyone else said, it was for helmets coming off.....although I thought the penalties should have been Bush and Winovich. I clearly saw both Devin's and Chase's helmets off, but I never saw Uche's off. I wonder if an official gave a hand signal of "1-5" to the white hat, and the ref assumed that meant "6".....
GO BLUE!

How anyone could confuse Winovich and Uche is...weird.
I mean, besides the sacks, they are not very similar.
Consider...the hair...just for starters.
October 15th, 2018 at 10:46 PM ^
Bush took his helmet off. Not sure about Uche.
October 16th, 2018 at 12:37 AM ^
I’m not sure it was for dancing in the end zone but rather when Uche was double cannon firing Roman candles from his hands while two topless girls sat on his shoulders and bush was waving a severed deer head and playing Anthrax on a boombox.
Or maybe it was taking their helmets off. Who knows?
October 16th, 2018 at 7:52 AM ^
When the flags were thrown, like nearly everyone else in the stadium, I was still high fiving my entire section. When it was called an after the play penalty ... it was a WHO CARES penalty.
Go Blue!
October 16th, 2018 at 10:50 AM ^
I'll add to this that when the penalties were finally called, everyone cheered (not booed), to demonstrate that we didn't care.
October 16th, 2018 at 8:33 AM ^
I'm nearly certain the unsportsmanlike conduct penalties were called on #24 (Hill) and #10 (Bush).
October 16th, 2018 at 9:56 AM ^
It wasn't shown on the broadcast, but I think they pulled down their pants and did synchronized helicopters.
