Do yourself a favor and don’t look at ND’s remaining schedule

Didn't you hear? Points are working again.
September 23rd, 2018 at 12:22 AM ^
I don't think they are working.
September 23rd, 2018 at 7:56 AM ^
No they're not.
September 22nd, 2018 at 11:25 PM ^
And the ability to downvote a thread needs to return on here. ?

Drupal, anyone?

Look at the OP's comment history. Obvious troll is obvious.
September 23rd, 2018 at 8:42 AM ^
Obviously
September 22nd, 2018 at 11:04 PM ^
Stanford, at Virginia tech, at usc
also, they play FSU which would normally be a top 10 team. Northwestern has been solid recently.
I disagree with everything about your post, especially your fear of them going undefeated. It will not happen.
September 23rd, 2018 at 1:21 AM ^
USC is ass, VT just lost to Old Dominion who got smoked by Liberty, and Stanford is a very good team. FSU is also butt. So one hard game left.
September 23rd, 2018 at 2:14 AM ^
Nah, they'll make all of em hard. Which will make NBC hard.
September 23rd, 2018 at 9:27 AM ^
Or at least Matt Lauer
September 22nd, 2018 at 11:05 PM ^
I wish I had done myself a bigger favor and not look at this thread.
September 22nd, 2018 at 11:09 PM ^
Do yourself a favor and go back in time to before you created this post.
September 22nd, 2018 at 11:10 PM ^
It is what it is, if we would play them now I’d bet we would play better than we did in game one. It’s very hard to judge this team, no one knows how good we might be when the big games come rolling up...
Today was a very good showing for our offense. Even tho Nebraska dropped their first 2 games their defensive line leading up to our game looked pretty damn good to the eye, not sure on their statistics. But I’d rather build the steel in our spines week 1 than later
September 23rd, 2018 at 10:13 AM ^
Nebraska had I think ten sacks in their first two games, so you’re right that they have a very active D-line.
September 22nd, 2018 at 11:10 PM ^
Lol who cares? If ND wins out then it's only good for Michigan. If they make the playoff they'll get blasted in the semifinal.
September 23rd, 2018 at 2:50 PM ^
Nah, if they make the playoff, that's 1 less conference champ getting in.
September 22nd, 2018 at 11:17 PM ^
I am so fucking confused with this post...
We want ND to win out...
Michigan lost.. Boo hoo. GET OVER IT.
September 22nd, 2018 at 11:28 PM ^
Eh an ideal situation for Michigan if you want to make the playoff is probably like a 10-2 Nd. An undefeated or 1 loss Nd is getting in over Michigan. So is bama and that only leaves two spots for theoretical michagan, pac12 champ, and big 12 champ plus like a 1 loss Georgia
September 22nd, 2018 at 11:45 PM ^
You have been shitting on the team for weeks but now you are worried about the playoff?
September 22nd, 2018 at 11:50 PM ^
Close to correct ak. A one loss Notre Dame team would not surpass a one loss Michigan even with the head to head win. We would have defeated osu, msu , psu, Wisconsin twice. We would be riding a 12 game winning streak with a single loss on the road to Notre Dame where we outgained then. We would be conference champions. They would have beat us and Virginia tech and usc with no championship game. (Assuming loss to Stanford). The committee loves conference champions. They don’t like teams that sit out championship weekend unless that team is Alabama.
September 22nd, 2018 at 11:56 PM ^
Or osu. I’m sure it would be possible but I wouldn’t feel great
September 23rd, 2018 at 12:19 AM ^
Virginia Tech lost to Old Dominion by 14.
September 23rd, 2018 at 12:29 AM ^
Exactly, Notre Dame does not have the strength of schedule to get into the playoff with one loss.
September 23rd, 2018 at 1:23 AM ^
And Old Dominion got blasted by Liberty. This was Old Dominions first win against a P5 team since reinstating their D1 football program in 2009.
September 22nd, 2018 at 11:24 PM ^
Does it really matter if Michigan schedules ND until they can consistently beat PSU/MSU/OSU? It goes both ways. So many people around here seem to think after beating a few shitty teams that UM is going to win 10 games now.
September 22nd, 2018 at 11:35 PM ^
Yes, it matters. If we had played Arkansas at home, we'd be undefeated.
I don't know about you, but I'm hoping for a chance at the playoff, for this year. And we all know that the first criteria for ranking football teams is fewest number of losses.
September 23rd, 2018 at 7:57 AM ^
Unless your name is UCF. SOS goes hand-in-hand with that criteria.
September 23rd, 2018 at 12:18 AM ^
You have to admit, even though Nebraska may not be great, we looked better than we have in a long long time
September 22nd, 2018 at 11:31 PM ^
Agreed. Our schedule has not helped us at all... Just a dumb and bad decision to let ND have their way...
September 22nd, 2018 at 11:46 PM ^
Oh come on, do they look like a program that throws tantrums when they don't get their way?
September 23rd, 2018 at 10:36 AM ^
Yea, iti is what it is. Should we have played Arkansas and told ND no thanks? Probably, did we benefit from Playing a very tough game on the road in the opener? Well we lost so thats not good but we played them close and sometimes you can learn alot from a loss like that, IE we have scored 45 or more points in three straight games, not bad. Also consider next year, we will get ND at home instead of going on the road to Arkansas.
I dont think the loss to ND hurts us at all for the big10, possibly may hurt us for the playoff but whatever, I just really want to win the big10 this year.
September 22nd, 2018 at 11:32 PM ^
Yep, just like 2012. They'll get key flags to keep their paper tiger intact. Let fuckin Tirico slobber all over them as they beat Navy in overtime or whatever.
I was glad when the series was cancelled, and bummed when it resumed. I wanted us to play Arkansas home-and-home, for variety, and for not having to play more PI-flag-strewn nightmare games in South Bend.
Why our program and fans insist on continuing this series, despite so many voodoo-ish inexplicable losses down there -- with no commensurate credit when we beat them -- I guess will always be beyond me.
I hate Notre Dame more than any of our rivals. I don't hate them because I'm a Michigan fan. I hate them because I'm a college football fan that wishes they didn't exist.
Plus Brian Kelly is an objectively awful person, and we already have enough of those on our schedule.
Bo had it exactly right. To Hell with Notre Dame.
September 22nd, 2018 at 11:36 PM ^
I'm really disappointed that the thread calling me out got taken down.
September 23rd, 2018 at 12:04 AM ^
Who called you out and for what?
September 23rd, 2018 at 12:13 AM ^
I jokingly picked Nebraska to win in the guess the score thread, then I said I was nervous because weird stuff always happens when we play Nebraska. So someone posted a thread asking me and Seth to apologize.
September 23rd, 2018 at 12:21 AM ^
No one knew our oline would create holes like they did. I understand your nervousness.
September 23rd, 2018 at 12:27 AM ^
Lol, that's some funny shit right there. I'm upset that I missed the thread now.
September 22nd, 2018 at 11:45 PM ^
Except, you know Harbaugh basically made it a precursor for coming here.
Lets face it. A non big 10 champion Michigan is not getting into the playoffs. That basically means beating OSU or getting 5 lucky dominos to fall.
September 23rd, 2018 at 12:05 AM ^
Well, a 2-loss Michigan might not be getting in now, even with a Big 10 championship. Especially if they are ranked right behind a 1-loss ND who beat them head-to-head.
Every loss is huge. Scheduling that game and losing another South Bend shitshow removed the margin for error. Lose a tight one to Wisconsin or MSU and we're done.
September 23rd, 2018 at 12:23 AM ^
I'm with you, never understood why playing nd is such a big deal. I was glad they were off the schedule
September 22nd, 2018 at 11:49 PM ^
Don’t care. If they make the playoff so be it. They’ll have earned the right to get skullfucked by Alabama yet again. They are NOT winning it all.
By the way, their schedule may be stupid easy this year, but look at it next year: at Georgia, at Michigan, at Stanford, and a potential trap game first week of the season at Louisville. That’s three or four games that could very easily be losses right here, right now.
September 23rd, 2018 at 12:34 AM ^
Trap games don't happen week 1.
September 23rd, 2018 at 2:20 AM ^
LOL, well, they might get caught looking ahead to the bye week before New Mexico (and the triumphant return of Bob Davie):
2019
- 09/02 - at Louisville
- 09/14 - New Mexico
September 23rd, 2018 at 10:43 AM ^
And Louisville without Lamar Jackson is headed back to oblivion.
September 22nd, 2018 at 11:52 PM ^
You are worried about the playoff in week 4? Lots can and will happen. It does every year.
September 23rd, 2018 at 12:07 AM ^
ND winning out= good for us. The better they look, the better we look for only losing by 7.
It sucks having to root for them for selfish purposes, but that's the way it worked this year.
I don't have to like it.
