Mcsorely isn't even that big (I think) and he runs this offense where you can get hurt and hasn't (don't wish it upon him)
And our QBs just got hurt from one hit last year.

My guess would be that our QBs get blindsided like a sitting duck, while QBs that scramble or run the option are more prepared for the hit and brace for impact because they see the tackle coming.

well then time to coach better and or recruit QBs who are aware of this. Liek the world has moved over to these QBs who take smart kids not lame ducks that somehow we got. Just tired of these other QBs making plays. Shea needs to light up PSU.

It all really comes down to the O line for us because Harbaugh runs a pro style offense where the QB stands in the pocket to throw with multiple reads.
These teams that have dual threat QBs are usually only making one read in their system on pass plays. So they are taught if it's not there to tuck it and run. Then run a read option on run plays by reading the DE or OLB, hand it off or keep it.
We just started running some of that with Shea, but it hasn't worked too well for us yet. McCaffrey has run a couple of read options with some success, so we'll see if they keep running those plays through out the season.

Just saw another complete BS Defensive PI called on Illini. If refs are going to start getting ticky tacky on PI. This will be a long season

Pending on ones point of view. I think OSU blasts Penn State next week but PSU will score some points. It’ll be something like 49-31.

Oh I forsure think OSU will win big, just hopefully somebody knocks them down a peg. Their D isn’t what everybody thought it would be, I think Penn State will score plenty. I just see Ohio State pulling away late.

Considering how integral McSorley is to Penn State's offense, I'm surprised how often they use him on QB power. Especially since he's a good passer and even zone reads will see him hit less

I am also watching the game - and I don't say this lightly because he's a high-schooler - but he kind of comes across as a bit of a douche in those interviews they just showed.
Also, Charbonnet looks legit. I've been a bit bummed about those special teams blunders because I want to see him continue running the ball!
