Kalil Branham Has Committed to Michigan
Michigan’s 2020 class is underway with a receiver out of Columbus, Ohio.

Listed at 6’1’/190, the rising junior is a 3-star, 321st overall, and the 36th receiver to 247’s very early rankings, and a three-star (5.7) to Rivals. His brother John Branham Jr. is an uncommitted 2019 running back prospect.
Hudl:
Initial take: pretty fast, willing blocker, maybe not 6’1”.
Informative update cometh later.
Kid looks thick for a WR
Looks more like a running back to be honest.
Allen Trieu's tweet said RB/Slot, fwiw
That's what she said.
*THIC
Welcome to the family! Go Blue!
And he's already recruiting the #8 ranked player in his class...

PJJ looks like he was made to wear the Maize and Blue #77.
And welcome Ambassador Branham!
D@mn! those are some fu&king awesome dreads.
And wearing #2? Yeah, that works.
Yah. This dude is going to rail a few dbs and catch many passes. Slot guy with attitude. Oooch
His first couple catches are all fades... Do I see SLOT FADES in our crystal ball??? I think so!
Man, once Jim' gets all of these skill guys in place on the offensive side of the ball and special teams, it's over. You reading what I'm saying here? It's o-v-e-r. It might be over this year already. U-F-in-A right dogs!! Go Blue!!
Can't blame him for wanting to get out of columbus
Some people criticize the 3* commits, but I bet in hindsight all of the 2020 recruits will look good.
There's a big difference between high 3 star and low 3 stars. We'll take as many top 500 guys (5 stars, 4 stars and high 3 stars) as we can get. And high 3 stars from the region are guys that would otherwise go to Wisconsin, MSU, etc. so this is a nice pickup IMO.
He's a really high 3* according to 247 and since other recruiting services have nothing on him and it's still early, being ranked 321st can easily be pushed to 4* status. Clearly Michigan liked something about him to offer him this early
I think the kid is great. I'm just trying to be the first to make the 20/20 hindsight joke. #dadjokes.
Moar Ohio guys. I personally think if you want to beat O$U you get more coaches and players from Ohio. It appears someone agrees with me.
247: #5 in all of Ohio.
I like how he catches more with his hands more than the body. Good speed too.
I agree, he doesn't run great routes, but he looks like a very fundamental receiver which I like
Kid is smooth and athletic with great hands.
He qualified for nationals in the 200 meter! That’s a big solid kid with a motor. This is a good get.
Nice, speed can’t be taught.
Welcome aboard Kalil. Hopefully just the beginning.
Reminds me of Denard Robinson except playing WR. Looks to have 4.4 type speed and really good moves for just a sophomore.
Welcome Kalil, Way to GoBlue!
He had a brother who is a class 2019 RB who's tape I watched and he is also worth a look. 5'11 219 and has some wheels. I wonder if we are going to give him a look to
It looks like we offered his brother and they have visited together twice now. His brother is most likely not our first option at RB and is more of a back up plan, likely the coaches told him that. That could be why Kalil committed and his older brother didn't. John is being pursued by Pitt, BC, and the MAC.
What was your personal opinion of his highlight tape if you got a chance to watch it?
*too
Welcome to the family young man.....
It's good to be Blue.
Junior Hemingway is that you?
Still want to know why the number 2 hasn't been retired
