I made a great personal coaching decision today.  I decided not to wake up in the middle of the night in China to watch the game.  After last week, I decided it is not worth being tired all day.  Had a good sleep and woke up to watch the fourth quarter.  I know I'll get hammered for this but I saw a bunch of guys who looked like they had limited interest in being there.  It feels like the coaches are starting to lose the team.  The bottom line is the team is bad, the coaches are bad, and the team leadership is bad.  Maybe next year.

Each game hoke/borges (inseparable in terms of incompetence in my opinion) loses a game in which they posess far superior talent the closer we get to a coaching staff more compentent than a random sample of 3-year olds. They get millions per year for that slop-fest. The faster they're fired and never work again the better.

This coaching staff is to scared to win, 1st and 10 at the Nebraska 27 and the run on 1st & 2nd

Down no solution to the blitz 9 weeks into the season this o line is worst than a pee wee league line. HOKE IS NO BETTER THAN RICH ROD!

RR's teams had a chance to win because they scored points.  Scored lots of them.  But, they also gave up lots of points.

Moral of the story:  You have to score to win and this coaching staff is unable to put a team on the field capable of doing that.

The trainwreck that was the RR years was watchable because you never knew when they would light up the scoreboard.  This team puts up NEGATIVE rushing yards.

My question is this...Year 3 was "Fire RR" as the refrain, but now also in year 3 it's "Fire Funk/Borges".  Why is the mob not chasing the headcoach this time?

RR was seen by many in the UM high-falutin' community as a hick, and therefore not "one of us." He recruited players with dreads and didn't fall all over himself about the Midwest, Hoke came in preaching manball/tradition/this-is-Michigan and people liked that, even though it's overplayed.

Additionally, people can now see, "Hmm, fired the last coach after 3 years and now look where we are. If we fire THIS coach after three years, will it been anytime this decade where we are a consistent top 10 team?"

Hoke gets another year (which is correct, IMHO) b/c people finally realize firing the coach after 3 years, unless you have a great option in the wings, is dumb.

RR and Hoke are both very similar in my mind.  They both have an almost stubborn insistence on the fact that the system they are running is sound.  RR's fatal flaw was that he refused to pay enough attention to defense and Hoke's is that he refuses to pay enough attention to the offense.  Both defer their responsibility for those position groups.

Same fate?

The playcalling from the Nebraska 26 (after the fumble) was just awful. Unbelievably awful. That was the moment where I think it clicked for many of us that it isn't just execution or youth, the playcalling is abysmal at times

it is not borges, hoke needs to get fired.  repeat after me hoke needs to be fired.  I been saying that for couple weeks. replacing borges will make no difference in the performance.  Hoke needs to go, he cant coach in the b10. Even Bo pelini feels bad for him cuz he know he cant coach and he is slow

This has been the most frustrating season for me since 2008. I'm on the fire Borges, fire Funk bandwagon and honestly I'm bout to board the fire Hoke wagon too. Hoke is obviously a CEO type of head coach where he just has his coordinators run their respective shows. The offense just doesn't do anything different from quarter to quarter, week to week or month to month. It's time to truly break the bank and get some real coaches ( no offense coach Mattison) in Ann Arbor.
