03/19/2019 - 5:33pm I'm coming up on 2 years…

I'm coming up on 2 years here in Eugene after the previous 7 in Portland. Ducks football season tickets for the past 10 years and always fly my Michigan flag at our tailgate. Agree, being out here makes it easy from a rivalry standpoint. My former boss in Portland is a MSU alum and a couple friends in Eugene also went there. They're chirping a bit more given the way bball shook out in the Big Ten.

Terps playing dirty. Hope more Michigan players get hurt.

06/08/2018 - 4:14pm Awesome to witness! Special…

Awesome to witness! Special moment at Hayward Field and the crowd roaring as he came down the stretch. Living in Eugene, it's fun to see some other Michigan fans and the athletes, shout "Go Blue" and get the appropriate response. Will be cheering on the women on Saturday!

12/22/2017 - 2:02pm Jay Harbaugh

the Michigan-Oregon State connection. Perhaps a thread a day to discuss Beaver football. If we include Hoke's stint at Oregon State it might need to go on the front page.

12/08/2017 - 8:07pm Good hire

Helps establish some continuity. Leavitt is a very good coach and did a superb job as Oregon's DC and will be a good HC hire for another program, but the Oregon brand and identity is built on offense.

12/08/2017 - 7:58pm correlation =/ causation

It's a bonus that the players wanted him named as the head coach #cristoBALLIN, but don't believe that was the main reason for the hire.

12/02/2017 - 1:15am agreed.

court is much better in person. Although I was at the game tonight and it looked horrible with the Boise State dog pile at half court after the buzzer beater

11/25/2017 - 4:51pm for real?

You can't be serious or my sarcasm detector is way off.

11/25/2017 - 2:29pm 100% agree

constantly blaming refs is weak imho.

11/25/2017 - 2:08pm bad calls/no calls

but I don't think think it is on the refs. They didn't drop an easy interception, lose contain and let Barrett walk in from 21 yards, over throw receivers, or take unnecessary sacks. stop beating ourselves and then worry about beating the refs.

11/25/2017 - 1:44pm theme

big games and I see so many comments about fumbles not going our way, opposing qb has game of his life, opposing coordinator calls perfect game plan. maybe it is not luck.

11/25/2017 - 1:40pm truth

Have to have guys make plays when the big moment happens.

11/18/2017 - 3:39pm Washington v. Oregon beg to differ.

Washington was 0-12 and was still a rivalry

11/18/2017 - 1:17pm playmakers

bunch a really good players but don't seem to make the big play in key situations. guys in position but can't close out. got lucky on that replay.

11/08/2017 - 3:17pm Sandcrabs

Seabreeze High School- Fighting Sandcrabs, Daytona Beach, FL

10/28/2017 - 12:34pm make up call

that makes up for the unfavorable spot against Ohio State, right?

10/28/2017 - 12:33pm hammering panda

how do you not run hammering panda or at least his stand-in?

10/21/2017 - 8:06pm can we do that?

maybe our o-line can try holding.

10/14/2017 - 4:02pm state champs

of Indiana

03/10/2016 - 8:45pm amazing

Can't believe that I have not seen that suggestion before. mind = blown.

01/10/2016 - 3:08pm Naming rights for

Naming rights for MGoBlog!

01/01/2016 - 9:02am non issue

Would you be OK if a Michigan team attended an event to support their school/team? Was most likely vetted through the compliance department as well.

11/28/2015 - 6:16pm 25-35%

you may need to calibrate your guage of percentages. A decent Ohio State presence, yes. The fan and stadium experience was not the reason Michigan lost.

11/08/2014 - 5:38pm Practice

Fred Jackson coaches practice each week, and from the pressers, I know that we kick ass during practice, ergo Fred is the best coach on the planet. That's right, we talkin bout practice.

10/25/2014 - 6:25pm Rational statement

Not sure if that is allowed. And I completely agree with your statement.

10/25/2014 - 4:45pm route progression

Gardner shows a lack of ability to go through progressions which impacts his ability to get rid of the ball. He is still our best option.

10/25/2014 - 4:34pm wind = trash tornado

too bad it looks like the trash tornado is our team at the moment.

10/12/2014 - 8:58pm I did not hate them

Which is an upgrade from my usual stance on uni changes.

09/28/2014 - 10:49am difference is current ties

To me there is a vast difference between hiring someone with ties to MSU or tOSU vs someone currently on staff there. The former is plausible. Bo was not at tOSU when he took the Michigan job.

09/26/2014 - 6:54pm Oh really?

Cause I am still in Portland on a conference call...

Enjoy the game. Go Blue.

09/21/2014 - 11:02am agree on the blitz

It seems Mattison gets credit for the solid defense and gets a pass for the big plays given up. There was no reason to blitz in that situation. Also, the blitzes are rarely disguised. Most QBs, unless it is their 1st time playing, can see the blitzes coming an make an adjustment. In the case of the screen that busted for 70 yards, no point in sending an all out blitz, especially when it is 3rd and long IIRC.

I recall a few other instances where we showed blitz, the offense recognized it, made checks, and we still blitzed, giving up an easy completion on 3rd down. That being said, the defense is not the problem, or actually a problem. Perhaps some of Mattison's jawing with Hoke is because he knows that they need to pitch a shutout or give up zero TDs to stay in games.

I liked seeing the fire from Mattison. Would have liked seeing more from Hoke.

09/20/2014 - 9:03pm no

and no

09/20/2014 - 6:35pm Thought Shane was better

Saw him going through progressions and stepping up in the pocket to make a throw that was not a short armed shot put looking motion. His int, in my mind, was him trying to make something happen and move the ball. (and and wet ball since it was getting rained on for 30 seconds before it was snapped)

09/20/2014 - 6:31pm 26-10

Hope that the game is called so the final score is not worse. I was fooled by iron pyrite by 2 coaching staffs. RR and Hoke. hope each week that the team can put it together but am not surprised when they don't. kids don't look like they enjoy playing the games.

09/20/2014 - 6:19pm Keep waiting for things to click

Would love to see some fight from the team. don't know if it is there. trying to believe that there is still a chance to pull out the win.

09/20/2014 - 6:07pm 6-6

Not sure what the other 4 wins on the schedule are.

01/06/2014 - 10:56pm Not a surfer

Obviously you are not a surfer.

11/16/2013 - 6:36pm play calling flow

There Is absolutely no flow to play calling. it is like he is calling plays from a grab bag and not watching what is actually happening on the field.

11/16/2013 - 6:32pm wtf

Not going for the field goal to tie the game is Fucking idiotic.

11/09/2013 - 7:08pm Agreed

I first noticed it during the PSU game. The body language of some offensive players seemed to show their disappointment in the plays that were coming in... I noticed it today, too. I don't see urgency in either this coaching staff or the players. That is one of the more disappointing aspects of this season... I want the Brady Hoke from his intro press conference who had fire and determination. Not the one who looks lost and defers to his coordinators. I want coordinators who make adjustments and look to find something that works with current personnel. Not ones who like to hear themselves talk about X’s and O’s.

11/09/2013 - 6:52pm Recruiting

This may be the point in time where we can look back and see when this staff's recruiting magic stopped working.

11/02/2013 - 10:58pm Lewan has that?

I think some if the problem is the upperclassmen leadership on the team spent their 1st 2-3 years trying to be the class clowns and the funny guys giving a good soundbite.

11/02/2013 - 10:33pm 3rd down efficiency

M can not get opposing teams offense of the field. This has been a consistent theme all season. accountability has to beer placed somewhere and I, for one, will not blame or on youth or inexperience; or that the players need to execute better.

10/12/2013 - 9:05pm or

in q1-q4

10/12/2013 - 6:47pm Maybe that's the problem

The coordinators are actually old.

10/12/2013 - 2:41pm WSU

She was referring to Washington State

09/30/2013 - 9:57pm Cropped?

Was this version of the pic cropped to remove the bottle of Smirnoff in the backfround? Dr. Saturday blog pointed it out…

Mgoconspiracy /s

Btw- I'm getting the dog version of this sweatshirt.

09/22/2013 - 2:27am Unfortunately

I can't chalk this stuff up to, luck, a bad bounce here and there, or youth. When it happens consistently, my feeling is that it is symptomatic of a sloppy team. Getting out of the way of a punt that you are not catching is fundamental.

09/08/2013 - 10:30am Can it be 5'8" or under?

If so, I'm in. When Michigan Football has a 5'6" maybe I can have dual citinzenship.

09/08/2013 - 10:03am Holding Funchess down

The PI on Funchess, the defender had his jersey the entire play and prevented the receiver from jumping to get the ball because he was being pulled down by the jersey... I do think that out TE need to learn body position and control a bit better though, use their size to box out or work across the body of the defender and get to the ball.
