TTB: Saturday visit list... !!!!!
I cannot ever recall such a star-studded official visitors list.
http://touchthebanner.blogspot.com/2012/10/visitors-michigan-vs-michigan-state.html
Touch the Banner notes that the list is, as always, fluid and that there may be additions or cancellations. But a lot of the visits are players taking their "official," and I suspect that those arrangements are pretty solid. What a list! I'll have trouble keeping my eyes off our visitors' section just to watch the game.
[Edit. - Tremendous offers the list of names, and more, minus Magnus's editorial blurbs. Just trying to spread the credit for all of the painstaking work that goes into compiling the weekend plans of nearly 60 highly-recruited high school athletes, all teenagers: Tremendous blog.]

It was reported earlier in the week by Rivals that several of the commits were taking their official visits this weekend, but I think the visitor list is too expansive for them to get much individual attention. It seems several of them will be taking their officials later in the fall.

Is Hand for sure coming in? I saw him on Tremendous' list a little while ago but he's not there any more.
October 18th, 2012 at 11:40 AM ^
I haven't seen anything about him canceling, but that doesn't mean he's still coming, I guess...
October 18th, 2012 at 11:48 AM ^
I thought I read somewhere that we was trying to figure out a ride situation so he is still not confirmed.
October 18th, 2012 at 12:18 PM ^
According to this post Tremendous made in September, he will not be in attendance.
October 18th, 2012 at 12:27 PM ^
that he couldnt get a ride.

It's like they have brought in an ENTIRE TEAM of recruits for one day. If you suited up that group of recruits, they could probably win the Leaders division* (*eligible teams only) and the ACC Coastal diivision at the same time.

I didn't realize Da'Shawn Hand had high interest in Michigan. That's exciting. I've always believed talent wants to surround themselves with other talent; saying that, I'm sure it rubs off on Treadwell, Green, etc.
October 18th, 2012 at 11:35 AM ^
These are the 4 things I want to see happen, and they are in order.
1. Beat State (I know, right)
2. Derrick Green commits
3. Mason Cole commits
4. Damon Webb commits
My levels of inebriation, should such events transpire, will be the cause of envy across the entirety of Ireland.

No love for Treadwell?

Treadwell?

I think it would be good if everyone who viewed the list was cognizant that some of those kids probably won't make the trip (scoop on Hand if it actually happens, which I doubt). But overall a great list of names there, wow.
October 18th, 2012 at 11:45 AM ^
BTW, Hand's team (Woodbridge) plays E.J. Levenberry's team (CD Hylton) tomorrow night, if anyone's in the area and looking for some good players to watch...

...this amazing Saturday visitor list report is just one example.

Thanks!

ROLLDAMNTIDE = WolverineInABag
Magnus = Section 1 ??? hmmmm
October 18th, 2012 at 1:18 PM ^
If that's the case, then I would like to combine my points with Section 1's. That would put me somewhere around 37,000 or 38,000.

No, but they do give me street cred when I'm chilling with my homies in the 'hood.

But just imagine the awesomeness of our combined power, used for good and not evil:
October 18th, 2012 at 11:46 AM ^
Yikes! Don't all try to commit at the same time now, fellas.
October 18th, 2012 at 12:47 PM ^
Why the heck not?!

October 18th, 2012 at 11:48 AM ^
That is a very impressive list. Good thing our entire 2013 class will be on hand to help the coaches recruit.

October 18th, 2012 at 12:09 PM ^
And Shane Morris in the crowd to help shepherd them in. Pretty cool.
October 18th, 2012 at 12:18 PM ^
Where is Malik McDowell? That seems like a recruit we should be persuing extremely hard. Does he have a game or something Saturday?
October 18th, 2012 at 12:22 PM ^
Good question. Considering MSU and Michigan are high on his list you would assume he's got something going on.

which is why, I believe, Shallman won't be attending either.
October 18th, 2012 at 12:19 PM ^
What an amazing list! Go blue!
October 18th, 2012 at 12:32 PM ^
Alabama, EMU and Notre Dame apparently have.
October 18th, 2012 at 12:37 PM ^
I would think they want to offer a 2014 QB first before they offer a 2015.
October 18th, 2012 at 12:43 PM ^
I think I read in a Michael O'Conner thread somewhere (at the time he was a '15 recruit) that Borges told him they would not offer a '15 QB before offering a '14 QB
October 18th, 2012 at 12:50 PM ^
Michigan is taking an elite guy in 2013 (Shane Morris), but it seems like they're interested in getting a guy in 2014 who will be okay with playing second fiddle to Morris for a little while. I would imagine that they'll be looking for another Morris-caliber recruit in 2015, and I'm not sure that Jayru Campbell fits that profile.

Do those people realize he's a high school sophomore?
October 18th, 2012 at 1:57 PM ^
I imagine they have absolutely no idea that his is a high school sophomore, where would they find that kind of information?
October 19th, 2012 at 11:58 AM ^
There aren't many people who have even rated the kids from the class of 2015, so I'm not sure how he's overrated... The thing that really matters as far as "ratings" go right now is that a few FBS schools have already offered him full ride scholarships.

I honestly clicked over to TTB just to look at the hot girls picks. Sorry recruits, but Kelly Karloff is superfluous!
October 18th, 2012 at 2:49 PM ^
I'm pretty sure that word does not mean what you think it does.
October 18th, 2012 at 1:11 PM ^
October 18th, 2012 at 1:16 PM ^
I don't think you can have "too many" visitors, because the number of kids there makes the school seem like a real destination, where people want to visit, see games, play, etc. Having this many visitors is a good thing.
However, the coaches aren't going to be able to spend as much one-on-one time with all these recruits as both parties would probably like. There's only so much time in a day. But guys who are coming from a long way (Green, Cole, Scott, etc.) or who are on officials will probably receive the lion's share of attention. The guys with no offers or just a couple MAC offers from Michigan or Ohio can come back anytime for a little more contact.
