January 4th, 2012 at 12:06 AM ^

Hell ya baby!!!! GO BLUE!!! So proud of the seniors!!!! Its great to be a Michigan Wolverine!!!!!!!!
January 4th, 2012 at 12:07 AM ^
STFU HOMIE!!! Last game of the seniors career. First big time bowl for anyone on the team. Enjoy the win!!!!!!
January 4th, 2012 at 12:12 AM ^
Maybe he'd prefer the results of last years Gator Bowl?
January 4th, 2012 at 12:10 AM ^
I suggest 20. One for every VT point. That will surely make a difference.
January 4th, 2012 at 12:02 AM ^
I am so fucking happy!
January 4th, 2012 at 12:02 AM ^
I feel so dirty...
January 4th, 2012 at 12:03 AM ^
I couldn't agree any moreso. That was ugly as hell but at least we came out victorious!
January 4th, 2012 at 12:03 AM ^
Stress didn't allow me to drink too much. Needless to say, I am now doing my best to black out.
For today, Go Blue, for tomorrow, Beat Alabama, forever Sugar Bowl champions.
January 4th, 2012 at 12:03 AM ^
Plenty of time in the coming weeks to analyze how the hell we won that game.
For now....GO BLUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
January 4th, 2012 at 12:07 AM ^
3 years of pent up bad luck regressing to equilibrium, that's your damn analysis.
January 4th, 2012 at 12:46 AM ^
I'm pretty sure that a detailed, studious and honest review of the film will reveal... absolutely nothing.
That was all ugly.
(But also ... I don't give a poop. Go Blue!)
January 4th, 2012 at 12:03 AM ^
Twitter seems to think it was a catch. Non UM twitters anyway. Looked like it was moving to me.
Horrendous game on all parts but luck, but a BCS win is a BCS win.

Go Blue!

one way or the other. Everything about that play was in plain view. I think it really depends upon interpretation.
Coale initially was bobbling the ball but was able to bring it into a "seal arms" position between his forearms before he and the ball hit the ground. Falling onto the ball helped force it into his hands as he hit the ground and rolled over.
The view from behind Coale offered the best angle.
I don't think that "seal arms" constituted a catch. But I doubt "seal arms" is in the college football rule book. So is a holding the ball in a position where its sure to be knocked free but for falling on top of the ball a catch? It was stationary. But I don't think it was yet a catch and "in solid possession".
Alternatively, if the ball had been lodged in a stationary position between his legs, but then jarred when he and the ball hit the ground, would it be a catch?
January 4th, 2012 at 12:47 AM ^
You think that had anything to do with the officials' calls tonight?
January 4th, 2012 at 12:04 AM ^
What if I would have told you one year ago that we would win a BCS bowl game this year and that we would win it on a FG by Gibbons?
January 4th, 2012 at 12:14 AM ^
Maybe if you had backed it up with a story about the Little Train Who Could...oOoOoh and bring the board book with you :D
January 4th, 2012 at 12:52 AM ^
And we won with only 184 yards of Offense. Because the Defense stood in Battle of the Bulge style when it counted.
Fact is stranger than fiction.

January 4th, 2012 at 12:05 AM ^
Thank God for that defence !!!!!!! Allso for what it is worth if it was Michigan that had that td dissallowed I would be irate.
January 4th, 2012 at 12:06 AM ^
Hemingway must be MVP. He snatched the win from VT's hands. Literally.
January 4th, 2012 at 12:07 AM ^

Good win for you all
Stings as a VT alumnus but got to point the finger at my own team for Beamer's silly call, and the whole missed FG thing. Can't miss a 30 yarder.
Congrats to you all.
January 4th, 2012 at 12:10 AM ^
Granted it was indoors, but he was 4 of 5 on the day and only one of those was really short.
January 4th, 2012 at 12:11 AM ^
I have nothing but respect for VT. They played a hell of a game. Clean hard hitting and really fun to watch. Nothing but class from Beamer and his boys.
January 4th, 2012 at 12:08 AM ^
than I could ever have. Thank God he's our coach.
January 4th, 2012 at 12:08 AM ^
VT outplayed us and deserved to win, but they were undone by a few dumb penalties and turnovers. I think the fake punt was also a mistake, and Beamer should have known better than to try to outmuscle us on 4th and 1. Thomas was clutch. I was cussing him all evening.
I think our player of the game was Gibbons, but shoutouts also to Clark for the pick and Ryan for stuffing the fake punt.

January 4th, 2012 at 12:27 AM ^
How was it worse than Iowa? He was completely out of bounds, regardless of whether he caught the ball or not.
January 4th, 2012 at 12:34 AM ^
Yeah, I don't understand all the discussion about the nose of the football when he didn't land inbounds to begin with.
January 4th, 2012 at 12:33 AM ^
Shut the fuck up sparty.
January 4th, 2012 at 12:50 AM ^
