I don't think it's so much that he doesn't like the receivers, I think the staff wants to base it on in-game performance rather than practice. I think it goes out to Roundtree next year, don't you worry.
Regarding the BBQ, I would think Shallman is more likely to commit than Thomas but I'm not expecting either. Also, even though he won't be at the BBQ, I think Amara Darboh will eventually be blue.
My uncle is or was (I can never remember what he's doing these days) one of the coaches at Holland Christian, Cousins' high school, and he and his family all say Cousins is a fantastic young man. You might not believe me but it is what it is.
Who said he should just keep his head down and stay out of trouble(EDIT: as you suggest Sims did)? He needs to be punished for endangering all the other drivers on the road when he drove drunk, and he is being punished. That's what should and will happen all of this year if he wants to return to the team next year.
In addition to what Erik said, a violent crime or one that contains burglary is a different beast to an addiction. Both Stonum and Floyd need to get to rehab so they don't make these mistakes again. If Stonum had beaten somebody or stolen $158,000 dollars worth of laptops, then Stonum should absolutely be kicked off the team. But an addiction needs treatment, and the incentive of still playing football might be enough to get him over the hump, so to speak.
There's a difference between not being punished and being allowed to remain a part of the team. I would bet that Stonum is going to either take serious punishment and be allowed to return in 2012 or be cut altogether. I would prefer to see him be able to make the comeback as opposed to being cast aside, but that's my opinion.
I doubt that you can, but Stonum never used his original redshirt. Some people would rather he get his life in order using that to be able to return in 2012 rather than just be cut.
You're absolutely right, but it isn't out of the question with Cambell (or some other big DT) in the 3-tech, provided he (Martin) cuts down on injuries.
It's not that he won't be a good quarterback, loads of talented quarterbacks come from division 1-AA schools. I just think that both Dalton and Locker are more likely to succeed sooner and at a better level.
EDIT: And FWIW, I do think Devlin will wind up better than Stanzi.
I do think Colorado has/had more of a case than both UAB and VCU, but Va Tech could have been in over UAB and VCU as well. I have no problem with SEC teams getting "snubbed", especially Alabama with their truly abysmal SOS.

There have been some rumblings that he had conditioning and technique problems, so with three different D-Line coaches, he should do reasonably well.
