|4 days 19 hours ago||A wild day turned into a||
crazy evening. This family feud is disturbing as much as entertaining, but everyone outside Oxford is chuckling at the crappy day for Hugh.
Draft day is a great sports day and today turned into an all-time keeper.
|4 days 21 hours ago||Classic JH||
Chaos and entertainment rolled into one thing. Just like Signing Day. He makes everything interesting.
|5 days 51 min ago||So transparent||
At least they publicly admit their shallow ploy.
Hugh, cancel the family trip to WallyWorld!

Curious to see the impact of Gary, Asiasi, Long, Uche, McDoom, Crawford, maybe others, We don't "need" them at any position group, but they are playmakers that should help this team.
As well as JH controls a game and given the weak early schedule, I expect a bunch of frosh to see time beyond STs. Wouldn't be surprised to see Gary start at WDE.
EDIT: I mention this because the halftime recognition of the incoming frosh reiterated the influx of talent to a roster competing quite well during the spring game.
|3 weeks 3 days ago||Thank goodness UM regularly||
conducts spring ball at IMG. No other FBS program with a conflict.
|5 weeks 2 days ago||I wouldn't be shocked but||
the video is posted on Scout and beating a "defenseless" woman by a 280 lb DL is impossible to escape the PR downside. A 180lb guy hits a gal with a single punch at a bar on grainy film - difficult but not impossible to spin.
This incident has zero self defense or disrespect or reactionary effect to argue. It's the ultimate act of bullying. He was never threatened
SEC team could try to "reform" him, but it's a PR nightmare in the making.
|5 weeks 2 days ago||Disgraceful. Lights out.||
Hard to believe MSU will keep him on the roster since the video is so clear & graphic. Woman on the ground, helpless, a 2nd woman kicking her while Simmons pounds on her. Daylight with kids 5' away and a crowd watching.
The incident/video will be mentioned every time he plays on a broadcast. Mullen would be nuts to risk his program and reputation for 1 guy.
I bet Juco and then 3rd tier program.
|5 weeks 2 days ago||The difference between JH||
and Saban is the criteria. Saban only cares if a guy can help the team I win games; JH only cares if the guy works hard to make himself & the team better. Guys at UM appear to control if they stay; JH will pressure even contributors to "work" or risk the consequences.
At the end of the day, only a few people know the situation and they're only giving public statements. If we ever know the injuries, it will shed light on the background.
|5 weeks 2 days ago||Double slap||
First he chides an opposing player for just playing the game. Then he lies about the incident.
If you lie about the little things, imagine the big lies. Coach K officially has a character issue ...
|5 weeks 3 days ago||Regret?||
JH is not Hoke in almost all ways and he demands the guys commit fully to winning. pipkins wanted to play despite the risk - his choice; otherwise, you so not hear guys badmouthing JH and most of them state he is just brutally candid.
Other than pushing guys to perform even if hurt or make other choices, what else is worth complaining about re JH?
|5 weeks 3 days ago||Name seems fairly||
obvious with coaches's names.
Avatar is UM ball by a fictitious NC trophy used as a Halloween prop by my son; fictitious since I made it. I will substitute the real pic when Harbaugh wins it.
|1 year 17 weeks ago||Great for all media attention||
Harbaugh will already get a lot of attention but the Thurs date just ensures even more pre and post game focus on UM. Tough place to play and Utah should open as the favorite - chance for Harbaugh to reveal his program.
|1 year 17 weeks ago||Watching Under Armour game,||
Cole will find his way onto the field. Good size, speed, physicality. He's playing safety, but he supposedly prefers WR/slot and he has the raw talent to play as a true frosh.
|1 year 17 weeks ago||Was he a RS Jr?||
Certainly a good move for him after 4 yrs in the MSU system.
MSU must find 2 good corners with Waynes (and the semi-DB Lippett) gone.
|1 year 17 weeks ago||Master the things that take no talent||
Interesting phrase that Turley recites repeatedly. Assume this emphasis on discipline and individual accountability was a Harbaugh motto given their years together in SD and PA.
I am curious whether a lot of stories surface about S&C under Harbaugh to build a message of player development to recruits. Appears Urban and others used this counterpoint as a selling point vs Hoke.
|1 year 17 weeks ago||Winter conditioning comment||
What was everyone's stance on Harbaugh's comment (and even a hint of a grin IMO) about excitement to start winter conditioning?
My stance: he plans to introduce the team to a level of intensity and conditioning that he believes they've lacked. Incredibly hard winter sessions to set a tone for the program and even root out the guys who lack the fortitude. Maybe he senses entitlement and cruise mode. Similar to stories about Stoops rolling out trash cans for initial sessions at OU in anticipation of puking.
I don't think it was just "excited to get started and work with the guys".
|1 year 17 weeks ago||Thus the meme of||
"no player development" attached to the Hoke era. I don't think the meme is correct, but underclassmen had spotty performances. Lewis was very solid at CB for stretches, Butt flashed promise, etc.
|1 year 17 weeks ago||Trolls will troll||
Drew Sharp just wants clicks - nothing better than worthless banter related to all 3 schools to entice clicks.
Guy is a hack.
|1 year 17 weeks ago||Any opinions or evaluations of||
the RBs? Langford turned out to be a very productive RB for 2 years, so he would seem to be a big loss if the underclassmen are mediocre.
They might depend on true frosh Scott to carry the load.
|1 year 17 weeks ago||No, they have dealt with||
excess early departures for the NFL on D and they probably lose only Collins early to the draft this year (Cooper on O).
Heck, their 2015 class has 4 5* and 12 4* to plug a few holes. As long as Saban is there, they will remain a contender even if they don't win 3 NCs every 5 years.
|1 year 17 weeks ago||Every guy except Taiwan Jones||
redshirted among the starting 22. Their starting D was entirely 4th and 5th yr players. Physically mature guys who understand the system.
Harbaugh will have a fairly mature squad, so he just needs guys to execute his system.
|1 year 17 weeks ago||Yes, and Drew Sharp and||
I believe Tim Kawakami. Great cameo kills.
|1 year 17 weeks ago||OSU has a lot of||
athletes. Their consistent, high recruiting is evident.
|1 year 17 weeks ago||Yes. 13-0||
Everyone else botched at least 1 game. No debate.
|1 year 17 weeks ago||Winston is impressive||
UM would've won 5-6 more games this year because he just manipulates the D, although someone would have to catch the ball.
Expect FSU to return to just a good team next year without him.
|1 year 17 weeks ago||Random response:||
No. I don't think FJ would meet JH's criteria for intensity and perfectionism.
|1 year 17 weeks ago||Clark is the most likely,||
but I'll add a wildcard of Alden Key as the 2nd commit by Jan 11.
|1 year 17 weeks ago||Three factors elevate him over the QB crowd||
1. Knows the O. He can certainly get into the right play, know the OL calls and understand when to take deep shots.
As a coach changing a culture and teaching guys how to win, JH might value these 3 factors especially high in 2015.
Hogan would also give JH more latitude with Bellomy's status for next year.
|1 year 17 weeks ago||Validity aside, Hogan would||
immediately help install the offense and give Harbaugh the option of redshirting Morris and/or Malzone. The scholarship for Hogan would likely come from Bellomy.
Would Hogan be a trade-up vs Bellomy?
