Looks like he didn't play against Texas in 2022, so personally has a 2 game losing streak to Texas and Michigan.  Let's make it 3!

It's a good choice for him personally.  Texas losing WRs (top 2 I think?) and Ewers returning.  One imagines there was some NIL money in there too.

Alabama transfer wide receiver Isaiah Bond has committed to Texas, which he called a "business decision" in the wake of coach Nick Saban's retirement.

"Just like the business world, you make the best decision for your company," Bond told ESPN in a phone interview Sunday. "My company right now is my draft stock. I feel like I'm putting myself in position to increase that and have better draft stock."

He doesn't seem to have great faith in Milroe.

Also: You're never going to get any of the rah-rah "The Team ,The Team, The Team" stuff out of Bond.  He's a pure mercenary.

First off, kid has every right to make his own decision. So good for him for trying to maximize his success.

Things change, and that's the way it is. But damn if I don't have nostalgia for the old days. Member when being part of a team had value and taught lessons, compared to now where it's 'what can I do to get mine?' Again, I don't fault him, it's just the way things are now.

Lol it hasn't. For example, players used to play in 'meaningless' bowl games.

Once again, I don't fault any player for not risking injury and future earnings. I'm not in their position so it's unfair for me to criticize. I do forsee a future where we get to players sitting out the rest of a season once eliminated from playoff contention, to 'prepare for the draft.'

Things change, and that's the way it goes. Doesn't mean I have to think it's good.

Excellent replacement for Worthy.  Texas will be loaded for next year and UM will be breaking in a new QB and reloading in other spots - it will take a great team effort to win that marquee matchup in September.

Texas, OSU and Georgia have fired the money cannons to land a lot of top transfers almost the first day of entry to the portal.  They are clearly committed to winning it this next season.

100% agree. We need 1-2 WRs from the portal, probably a QB, and some extra depth at various positions on defense for rotations (DE, CB, DT).

Priebe and Barham are really good additions and this staff does an exceptional job with finding portal fits. The selling point of “NFL readiness” should be a huge factor with portal targets.
