Makari Page Is Back

Now we just need the key guy on the defense back—Minter.  Offense is going to be a work in progress, but defense should be awesome.

Makari Page is going to be a bad, bad man next year!

Nice.  Michigan will have a three safety rotation of killers next year.

Great!! Next year's secondary is going to have a lot more experience than I thought. Makari is a tough player and made some big plays against the run this year as well.

My favorite Makari play was him getting low and shedding a Washington lineman, then exploding into the Husky RB. NIL is cooking!

I was watching a Washington blogger on YouTube after the National Championship game and they were very impressed by our entire secondary. 

In particular, they said that Makari Paige reminded them of a young Kam Chancellor.  That is very high praise - Chancellor was a STUD in Seattle and a core member of the old Seahawks Legion of Boom secondary.

That is a talented secondary. I hope some of the backup Safeties can get some time as nickles.

This combined with the Rod Moore and Josiah Stewart announcements is incredible news. If the O-line can be sorted out there is a strong foundation for D-first, run oriented team. That’s a move floor to see if there is a QB who can make the necessary throws.

Getting both safeties back is the most surprising off season development so far.

does Sabb have the hips to play nickel ? i think he can be good enough 

Our d makes me feel so much better about the offense ! especially if a Jyrie Hill or one of Barinim / Houseman turns into all conference 

Quinton Johnson back?  He was a big hitter all year!

Moore, Paige and Sabb are the best safety trio in the country. Add Johnson at corner, McBurrows at nickel, Hill/Waller at the other CB, and don’t sleep on Hillman. That is a tremendous secondary behind an elite DL. 

Defense should be a’ight.

Can Saab play CB?

If we can’t find a #2 CB we could always move Rod to Nickel, Sabb and Paige at safety, and McBurrows can slide out to CB2. 

3 starting safties? Yes, please.
