| 8 weeks 1 day ago | This is really about making more public/alumni seats available.. |
Think about it: without assigned seats, the number of students that attend every game will be measured and it will be easier to reduce the number of seats based on the "loyal" attendees. That's maximizing revenue and holding students accountable (you show up, you get tickets next year) |
| 11 weeks 1 day ago | Same here |
Awesome! Congrats! I had to transfer from another school (shall remain nameless), did a year of LSA while taking engineering prerequisites, and then transferred in to the ME program. Needless to say that when one creates a "burning bridge" to get somewhere, it's really motivating. On the transferring part, I think they let me in because I wrote that I'd just keep applying until they let me in (I guess a good GPA didn't hurt either). Again, Congrats! |

| 33 weeks 2 days ago | I think you guys are beyond overreacting... look at these stats: |
Comparing series where we had Denard (this includes the one where he was injured), we had the ball 19:54, for 39 plays with 185 yards. They had the ball for 9:15 with 24 plays and 133 yards. In my opinion, we were on our way.

| 1 year 4 weeks ago | The Game, 2009 I went with my |
The Game, 2009 I went with my best friend, who had terminal cancer to the game. We talked about all sorts of game day memories on the way to the game. I dropped him off at the game so he could sit in the pressbox (lots of people pulled lots of strings so he could see that game - its tough for a cancer survivor who is very weak to sit in the stands). We all know the outcome of the game. I just couldn't leave the stadium. I walked around the bowl alone looking at the field from different perspectives both figuratively and literally, thinking about how we were kids watching the team, being in the marching band together and running out of the tunnel, him taking his wife to a "first date" there just six years earlier. It's like everything I had known had crumbled and the pittiful nature of the team was the personification of the last few years. I was so mixed up emotionally I can't say what I felt but somewhere in there were parts of absolute sorrow and rage. I stayed until the stadium staff threw me out. That was the last day I saw him or spoke to him. We lost him three weeks later and the world hasn't been the same for me since. That game has had a special place for me for lots of reasons (I haven't missed being at The Game since 1992 other than 2008 when I watched it with my friend from the cancer ward) and that day sealed it. God Bless you Matt. |
| 1 year 22 weeks ago | I boycotted the game |
Without a doubt I did. It was a division championship redo. Glad it went down. |
| 1 year 30 weeks ago | I had the same comment the day Nebraska was announced. except |
They should just play for the actual Coaches' poll / AP poll trophy. The one that wins, gets to have both on display.
If they don't play (maybe the big ten disolves or some other armageddon occurs), the receipent in 97 gets it back after the season ends. |
| 1 year 33 weeks ago | There was a person who used to make these posters in '97 |
And would post them on n campus. Ther were amazing I've always wanted a copy of the OSU game poster... Anyone remember those? Know where I could get one? |
| 1 year 35 weeks ago | We were in it with 4 minutes left... I'm dissapointed but hope.. |
I would have liked to see what happened with a time out on that 4th an inches. I think the game would have been going to OT. I'm not worried - we played a poor game on O but the D helped us out often. If that was last year on O, we would have had the doors blown off us. Got a legit shot to be 8-1 in 3 weeks. Go Blue! The Spartans will get theirs |

| 1 year 37 weeks ago | Do you have winning percentages given a pregame spread? |
Excellent diary! Would love to know how to calculate this info but I'm sure that would take too much time Do you have winning percentages given a pregame spread (i.e., if a road team is a 5 pt favorite vs. the home team, how often do they win)? If you wouldn't mind sharing that info, that would be most appreciated. Not sure if road vs. home favorite would skew the results. Would love that data for up to a 17 point favorite for each home and road team.
Go Blue! |
| 1 year 39 weeks ago | I've been trying to find those too |
No luck so far... I'm trying to call Adidas to get some. If anyone else is interested (provided I get some support in getting them) - please let me know so I can indicate demand

| 1 year 41 weeks ago | Yes, except the SID said this was the only Michigan game ever... |
Delayed http://www.mgoblue.com/sports/m-footbl/recaps/090311aaa.html Folks were asking if this had ever happened before (game being called) and the correct answer is "yes". |
| 1 year 41 weeks ago | Western not the only game ended before 60 minutes... |
Since I can't start my own thread, I'll do so here:
The western game was not the only game that was ended before 60 min of regulation - there was this game in 1903 that as I recall has some significance in Michigan Football history... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Little_Brown_Jug_%28American_football%29 |
