Don't know where my ticket is, but I'm going for the entire long weekend. Should be a great time. I'm hoping to grind all over some Mormon girls.

There's actually been a number of people discussing it on the board. Not sure there's been a dedicated thread though. I'll be there. Same section as you - 32 row 54

Section E32, Row 55, Seat 9. Is anyone wearing the Harb Army uniform? I have $10 pleated khakis and a blue crewneck/hat all ready to go, but I'm not sure if I should go with a maize shirt since it'll pop more in the sea of red and white in that stadium.

I agree. This is why we have maize-outs at Michigan Stadium, not blue-outs. We tried a blue-out against Wisconsin, if I recall correctly, and it was a disaster.

My family and I are going to the game. We will all be wearing maize (although my son will also have his jersey). Our seats are in N21, row 43.

I'm going. I also am considering bringing a flag and flagpole into the stadium to wave, but was wondering if anyone knew if they perform patdowns.

I'm a Utah season ticket holder. There are plenty of people who bring flags into the stadium, so I think you are OK there.

There is a security check upon entrance but nothing too serious (usually just a quick look through bags for weapons, outside food and drink).

FWIW...unlike Michigan Stadium, they allow binoculars into Rice-Eccles Stadium.

To be fair, it used to be legal to take outside food and beverage into the games, including alcohol.  Then they decided to not let people bring in alcohol, but not sell any in the stadium, even though there had never been a problem with mass disorderly conduct in the Stadium.  I am guessing a lot of people were pissed at having that option taken from them.

I wasn't all that happy about it myself, but they did allow stadium re-entry and a lot of people went out during halftime.  Finally, they took that away, too.  They haven't made the stadium any "safer" or "more appropriate for families" with this series of decisions.  From what I understand, roughly the same number of people get arrested for doing stupid things now as used to when alcohol was allowed.  All they have really done is force people who want to drink to drink more before they go into the stadium.

At college games and bowl games at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, they have beer at the concessions and a couple of full bars.  Fans don't get into any more trouible there than they do in stadiums where alcohol is allowed.

Bottom line: all college stadiums should sell beer, except for the one at BYU.  It's not the alcohol that makes someone act like an asshole; it's the asshole within that makes someone act like an asshole.

There are a couple people at my office who will actually be leaving Wednesday afternoon for Salt Lake City and cheering on the Wolverines. I am rather jealous actually. Hopefully, we show well at Rice-Eccles. I think we've even got a few people on this board for whom this is almost a nice walk down the street, which I take as proof of what a force the Michigan fanbase is.

Sec. W12, row 6, seats 29 and 28.  (I teach at Utah:  #unfairconnections.)

I was debating the harbaugh tribute blue shirt, or the student section maize.  I'm going with maize, primarily because once the sun goes down I don't think the blue will really show up.  It will just look dark.

But I think maize will show up well under the lights, and provide a nice contrast to the sea of red in Sec. W12.

Would love to meet any MGoBloggers!

Happy to hear there will be other Michigan fans around me. I had thought the visitors section was W7 and W8? Seems like a lot of people ended up in E32 or something...

Also, I think W seats are going to work out well because the sun will be to our backs.

I'm a Utah season ticket holder and your seats are better than mine! I'll drop by and introduce myself.

As a dual Utah/Michigan fan, I'm trying to convince myself I come out a winner here.

And I will be driving from Denver Wednesday night, can't wait! I'll be donning my A. Carter Nike #1 jersey from 2000. Clean as a whistle still.
