This is an absolutely lovely Freudian slip. From your mouth (keyboard?) to God's ears!

Seth, with it being such a…

Seth, with it being such a big Ask-Again-Later class, have your feelings changed at all in light of the departure of Herbert and so many proven talent developers? Or do you think the framework is in place for next man up/business as usual on the development side?

Where Is The Lion King's Jonathan Taylor Thomas Now?

"Feren-doza Line" is…

"Feren-doza Line" is absolute brilliance in portmanteau form. Kudos to AlbanyBlue for tossing it out there (and of course to the author!).

Who do I contact for a shirt with the Spy vs. Spy guy wearing the block M on it???

before they play that game [Illinois] will host Penn State(!) on September 16.

This has “season-killing Frames bed shitting” written all over it.

Alex, how many teams do you think Cam Goode would start for?

Wasn’t he Minnesota’s center?

I am excited at the thought of Pops’ build developing on that frame with that athleticism. And under Coach Herb, no less!

Chris?

For my fellow sports nerds…

For my fellow sports nerds who always wonder these things, Filip is Željko’s son and Ahron is Tyler’s brother.

Hey Seth, with how Michigan…

Hey Seth, with how Michigan has worked the portal, do you think it makes sense to go all-in on filling non-elite spots with high-upside athletes willing to put in the years to develop? In other words, will the portal all but eliminate the need to go after lower ceiling/high floor players?

And happy belated, ya big lug!

Caldwell offered a player…

Caldwell offered a player comparison of Ben Obamanu, whom I don't remember

Strangely enough, I do remember Obamanu, specifically because he paired with Devin Aromashodu for a tremendous name pairing at WR on some pretty good Auburn teams. If memory serves, they were both solid, a Chesson/Darboh type of pairing.

How long was Willie Allen…

How long was Willie Allen here? I seem to recall his career was comprised entirely of trying to get into playing shape.

(Yes, that was intentional. I hate the word "comprise(d)" and would never use it otherwise.)

WOOOOO Tres rocks!!!

WOOOOO Tres rocks!!!

The funny thing about…

The funny thing about Schoonmaker is he was usually with the TEs on the sideline, and no one looks tall when they're standing next to Selzer, even as they're towering over me.

My first in-person game was…

My first in-person game was when we were reigning national champs. Would make a nice bookend to get the same for my first game back...

I think they played the horn…

I think they played the horn a lot more frequently, which is why it was so annoying. In the moment, I didn't really notice the lights, but that could be because I was so peeved about the plays that triggered them. It's funny though, when I saw the lights on the game highlights it immediately struck me as really awful.

Had his helmet on, so unable to gauge his dreaminess. I can say that--according to my tween daughter--JJ looks just like Seb from High School Musical: The Musical: The Series (yes, that's the full name).

Right? Add in his Pin Cancer Deep work and he's shot up my favorite Wolverines list. #GetRobbinsaTD

From watching Lewis, where do you think he would fit in the D-line/Edge pecking order had he not transferred? Possible contributor or do you think he might have been destined for Rutgers regardless of Covid?

I believe Tiff’s in Morris…

I believe Tiff’s in Morris Plains, and there was also some momentum to make Six Points Pub in Bloomfield an unofficial game-watch spot in the Montclair area. Haven’t been able to get over there yet though.

Me too! Assuming you haven't changed your number since—oh, i don’t know, 2005?—I’ll holler at ya.

It's like watching Eisen run his 40 mid-game. Mesmerizing.

Gotta have The Simpsons on there. Even if the last...decade (two?) doesn't hold up, peak Simpsons is as good as television has ever been.

Seth, caricature Mason…

Seth, caricature Mason Graham looks unsettlingly like me with bushy eyebrows (and minus...a few years). How does this affect your projections for his freshman season?

The old MGo "brunette girls"…

The old MGo "brunette girls" shirt, for obvious reasons.

Seth should absolutely UFR…

Seth should absolutely UFR the spring game. Twice, if possible, to be able to average the two for more accurate point totals.

What a wonderfully random reference to the contractors who did  the extension on my parents' house 30-something years ago.

Thanks, man! Glad I could do my part. I'm not usually one to ask for gifts, but if you were shopping for one, an MGoTailgate at the Rutgers game would be a nice fit...

Happy Birthday, ya filthy…

Happy Birthday, ya filthy animal.

I know next week is gonna be…

I know next week is gonna be rough, win or lose, so can I just take this (un-sober) moment to say  I TOLD YOU, I EFFING TOLD YOU? I want a victory lap, I do, but I have a hunch this team knows The Game is what matters and I’m not going to disagree. Regardless, so proud to root for this team. GO BLUE! BEAT THE MF bucks!

Hinton having been out…

Hinton having been out/limited with covid is the big takeaway for me. Makes the lack of buzz around his development seem much less bust-y, especially without a full camp last year. If he is back to 100% (obviously, concern #1), in-season improvement seems a lot more probable than it did before this came out.

The first time I ever went…

The first time I ever went to Seth's house, we ended up swigging from a pint of gin because neither one of us was 21 or had a fake and that was all we could find.

I realize this isn't in keeping with the theme here, but it's actually true! And it supports the veracity of the previous comment.

I'm pretty sure Seth is an…

I'm pretty sure Seth is an AI-powered bot. The guy on the podcasts and at functions is an actor, a la J.T. LeRoy.

Gattis is the biggest wild…

Gattis is the biggest wild card for me. I think Macdonald raises the floor for the defense so it’s not a liability; how far the team goes depends on how potent Gattis can make the offense. I also think Weiss makes a difference here, but that’s strictly a hunch. But hey, it’s my offseason of irrational optimism, so why not?

I’m very disappointed you…

I’m very disappointed you have more important things to do than respond to some random yahoo on the internet.

I kid, I kid…thanks for the answer. Haven’t seen my Ohio family in a minute, it’s nice to chat within rivalry (“rivalry”?) occasionally.

Well it’s easy to be…

Well it’s easy to be optimistic when you’re supposed to be good.

On that subject, how do you find the current CFB landscape affects your preseason mindset? Do you go in with a championship-or-bust mindset or are there some years you’re okay with expectations being a little lower? Not trolling or anything, I swear; at this point it seems like being a Bama/Clemson/OSU fan is a legitimately different experience than any any other fandom, so genuinely curious.

Fair enough, but the effect…

Fair enough, but the effect of a head coach goes well beyond the players he leaves behind. With the speed the game has been evolving on and off the field, a program has to constantly develop. Coach Hoke seemed like a nice fellow and he can coach my d-line any day, but do you really think he advanced the organization in any way? Besides banning red, of course.

A fate determined by…

A fate determined by geography. Doc and Darryl had Shea rockin’ when I was a kid, but Yankee Stadium was/is soooo much easier to get to.

Very true. I was being lazy,…

Very true. I was being lazy, and besides, when the factory collapses, the Milhouse who is watching it takes the blame, fair or not.

Seth, you should have told…

Seth, you should have told us about the AA++, we could have put it up on one of the refrigerators! Not the one with the bubbling black mold, though.

Seth, now that the precedent…

Seth, now that the precedent has been set, please provide Yiddish translations for all recruit names where relevant moving forward.

Also, I interviewed Phil Simms for my HS’s cable access shown when Chris played us in basketball and asked (off camera) if Chris was considering Michigan. Per Phil, there was a promise to Henson we wouldn’t recruit a QB the following year. Not sure if this is common knowledge or a negative recruiting lie, but wanted to share my semi-relevant cool-story-bro.

(I’m not responding to the 5-star QB comment because two comments in one post would kill my lurker cred)

You'd think I'd remember…

You'd think I'd remember seeing you in a Cookie Monster costume, but nada. Maybe I had a drink or two that day.

Hans was set to go to State,…

Hans was set to go to State, but the scholarship offer was pulled when Dantonio left. It's been established that Olaf can't read, so he'll probably get the spot instead.

Kristof is on his way to Clemson, because he's basically Trevor Lawrence (if Lawrence had been raised by woodland trolls in fictional 19th-century Norway).

Marshmallow is going to osu because he's gigantic and moves fast, so of course it would be our luck he'd be from ohio.

I'm glad I'm not the only one whose addled brain read the post's title that way. Unfortunately, the Frozen 2 release combined with early-pandemic home sheltering meant I was subjected to an average of roughly 1.5 Frozens per day for most of April, so I'm way more familiar with the characters than I'd like.
