Time is of the essence during a coaching transition like this. Hopefully Warde & Moore are prepared and can announce a staff or at least part of one tomorrow before everyone starts attacking our roster
I was at the 2007 and it was actually the complete opposite. There were so many tickets flying around and everyone already had tickets that I actually bought a much better ticket for $15 right before game time. Pretty much giving them away.
As one of the few sickos that actually watches UNLV football, pretty much everything is spot on. This is a great write up as usual. The d-line will feast and the defense will be able to contain everything outside of a few misdirection plays & some Jet Thomas magic.
That said, watch out for Ricky White. I was kind of surprised by the lack of respect considering the 196 yards he put up the last time he was at the big house (sorry for the painful memory). He's kind of like a poor man's George Pickens, lots of talent but hasn't quite had the production you'd expect. Part of that has been QB play. As it was mentioned, Brumfield did not have a good game at all and over threw White a few times despite White getting open consistently. They are capable of doing much better and will probably clear those plays up. This was the wrong game to judge them off of. If you look at the the second clip of the HenneChart, you can see a good play between the two of them that was unfortunately a foot too far out of the endzone. I would expect that level of play from them.
I think White should have been starred and my bold prediction is that he will get over 100 yards again.
Great breakdown as always Seth. I also follow ASU and what's funny I had the same question last year on why they didn't move him to LT. With such a big need at that position, I just assumed that Herm thought there would be too big of a drop off in his play if he switched. Obviously, everything about ASU was a dumpster fire last year so any credit I was giving to that coaching staff was probably misplaced. I'm really excited he's getting that opportunity at Michigan where they're going to get the most out of him.
He's also a really high character guy. Herm & ASU were lame ducks entering last year so all the poachers took advantage and tried to pick their bones dry of any good players. The tampering was rampant and most guys had NIL offers to play elsewhere (which many accepted). LaDarius turned down offers and decided to stay at ASU. He was a vocal leader all year and really helped keep that team together in a tough situation. I also still think it's amazing that he went from a 6'4 170 pound 15 year old not playing football, to blocking Kenny Willekes as a starting college LT in 2 and a half years. He's a smart, coachable guy that's really going to fit in with Michigan's culture.
I was bummed that he wasn't in for spring because I think he would have really benefitted from that extra time as he's only had about 6 years of football but he's a really great player that I think will be a great fit at Michigan.

There's been a mix of both really bad and really good. The Lizzo and Jack Black thing was weird but I actually really liked that episode. Most of the previous episodes were kinda boring but I do like the direction this is going with a big fight for Mandalor against Moff Gideon.
At least we have that out of the way and can beat them up now. I think all of the reddit propaganda definitely contributed to the "fuck Michigan" vibe but that alliance was never going to hold. Best of luck with your continued recovery!
Man, I thought he was doing good for them. I didn't realize they had a bad winless streak. I also have never really understood why there's so much turnover for soccer coaches. Seems like two years is a long time for them
I think it's the effect of strength of schedule. SEC absolutely gets some favoritism but outside of Michigan, OSU, and Penn State, there's really no depth in the Big Ten. The SEC has a lot more depth and Penn State's best win is a mid tier SEC team. LSU just beat Bama. That's enough to go up the rankings very quickly while Penn State missed pretty much their only two opportunities to make an impact.
I was sad about that. He did a really good job last year with almost nothing to work with and almost got hired away. I hope he comes back to Michigan at some point. He strikes me as someone who would absolutely excel at the collegiate level.
Great write up. I would say if you took out positional value, JSN might be the best player in the country regardless of position. Because of him, OSU might have the best WR group in the country. Would be interesting to see Michigan ranked, they would probably be close with Maryland.
Great write up. The only thing I would disagree with is I think if any of the big DTs were to fall (Perrion Winfrey, Logan Hall, DeMarvin Leal) we may consider them at 66 and would definitely take one at 97.
This won't happen with Stephen Ross being the big booster that he is, but I would absolutely love a Brian Flores hire. He's probably going to be black balled from being an NFL coach, can flat out coach, and would probably be an excellent recruiter.
The QB recruiting at Washington has been interesting. 5 elite QB recruits in the last 4 years and none of them have really panned out.
They recruited Colson Yankoff (91ovr 4*) and Jacob Sirmon (96 4*) in 18, Dylan Morris (171 4*) in 19, Ethan Garbers (121 4*) in 20, and then Sam Huard (12 5*) in 21. Only Morris and Huard are still there.
Can't wait to see how many show up! I'm also a recent UNLV alumni and there's been hardly any support for the team lately. I think that Michigan fans will probably out number UNLV fans.
Just in case anyone thinks the bump down the rankings might be Michigan-related, I think that 247 decreased it when they updated their rankings last week, not today.
For fans of racing, I'd recommend short track speed skating. Random but races are usually pretty exciting. Lots of close competitions, controversy, and constant action. Youtube some old olympic races if you're bored.

He's been about as soft a commit as could be since the beginning. It was going to happen eventually

Speaking for my dad and I
45-14
Woodard is also not very athletic and the RBs should have no problem bouncing outside and get huge gains

Sounds good to me
For less than a Jake Moody
Love these articles. I'm also a UNLV fan and these are about as good as it gets for their previews.
Michigan Magic. Go Blue!

+1 for the Kingkiller reference

Great, now I have to rewatch the whole movie

Yeah, same thing with that CB commit from Florida
An alliance with Ohio State is just not gonna work for us or them. Both groups will still have a lot of players attack the other no matter what.

Yours wasn't paywalled for me either. Just a pop up you can exit out of. Thanks for sharing btw, interesting article.

How did it end up saying GO BLOE lol?
Give me Joe Brady

As a recent UNLV grad, very excited for this. UNLV is horrible but it will be my first Michigan basketball game.

What a weird and cheesy graphic.
Lived in Tempe and ate Big Jimmys every week. Probably the 5th best but was the cheapest. $5 large pepperoni
Not the DT news I was looking for
As a UNLV fan too, fuck Chris Beard. Glad this happened to Texas Tech, karma. & no, I'm not bitter at all.
Save some for a CB
As a VGK fan, I wholeheartedly agree
I think it gets sped up twice when he makes his moves (look at the whole picture when it happens) but damn is he fast. Can't wait to see him in blue
With that title, I was really expecting an update on Rooks
Bang bang
Miazga is a knucklehead. Thanks for the summary

What's his timetable?
Draft Trey Adams late.
