| 1 week 4 days ago | Or maybe the coaching staff |
Or maybe the coaching staff is telling it like it is, and the recruits are buying into the new philosophy under O'Brien. I really don't see why you should feel bad for them. It's not like these athletes don't know what they're getting into when they sign the LOI. Pretty sure we've all been overexposed to this scandal through ESPN, so it's not like they're oblivious... |
| 3 weeks 5 days ago | You're an idiot if you think |
You're an idiot if you think that. This is OUR school. Both current and past students included. Sorry, but THAT is the actual reality. |
| 3 weeks 5 days ago | State taxes are like 5% of |
State taxes are like 5% of the budget. Also, we don't really use money from the endowment. Thus, those two points are moot and don't make a point. However, your other university income streams includes...wait for it...ALUMNI DONATIONS! Ghost of Yost is an idiot and obviously does not understand how much alumni provide for this school. As an alumnus and current grad student it's frustrating to see all this banter from one side to the other. Both are just as important. |

Ouch... Or you could just watch the NHL. Cause no one really cares about the NBA these days, apparently. |

Just because they are hell people I think PLACE should always remain as Ohio. |
| 5 weeks 2 days ago | I don't think I've ever been |
I don't think I've ever been to an event where EVERYONE is singing at the top of their lungs to the point that the person who is supposed to be singing is actually drowned out. Thus, not standard... Now if the Bruins could stop giving up 3rd period goals to tie games and actually win one I would be quite happy...but alas, I shall remain frustrated at my team once again. |
| 6 weeks 5 days ago | For all you fellow students |
For all you fellow students out there, what time is everyone hitting the bars? I know people were at Charley's yesterday from open to close, which seems a bit too much for tomorrow. Plus I have a class that gets out at 6:20, so I'm debating whether to send a scouting party to the bar and grab seats, or to just go after I get out. |

I watched and I wish I could unwatch...cause that is wow. |

I haven't seen it but from what my buddy just told me...it's like Lattimore++ |
| 7 weeks 5 days ago | Mmm...I think I might have to |
Mmm...I think I might have to go with the Capital One Bowl, though I am a bit biased: 1. Football is my primary sport, followed by hockey (painful year) and then basketball. 2. It was Lloyd's last game. 3. That was the last game of the season. And that was a semblance of redemption for the first couple of weeks of that year, which...that was painful to relive just now (and also happened to be my freshman year and the year I attended my first football game. Yea...that one).
Had this been a Final Four or championship game I would be inclined to put it above, especially if the SEC had been anything better than a mid-major this year. |

Nice! Probably my favorite basketball one so far. |

Hoke is beefy like a d-lineman. He's just out of shape. Weis is just straight up pure fat |
| 12 weeks 22 hours ago | And he screwed over Joe |
And he screwed over Joe Flacco if he gets franchised tag in the process. God, I love Tom Brady... |
| 12 weeks 2 days ago | Look...it's bad, but it's not |
Look...it's bad, but it's not "move us down 3 seed lines" bad. We'll be at worst a 3 seed. They're playing like crap on the road cause they can't handle the pressure. The tournaments are on (somewhat) neutral court. We should be ok. |

I think you missed a "have" in there... |
| 12 weeks 3 days ago | As a Bruins fan I am kinda |
As a Bruins fan I am kinda torn with this. Because I developed my hockey fandom in Michigan I always cheer for the Wings as my second team, but now I won't really be able to. On the other hand, both teams will play each other a lot more which will make me talk a lot more about hockey with my Wings fan friends. |
| 12 weeks 4 days ago | Because you have to go |
Because you have to go through the appropriate channels to make them aware of the situation, which the vet probably didn't do. I work for the university, and sometimes it is truly amazing how remarkably stupid some people can be (not saying he was...I'm speaking in general). People just expect us to know things that have changed in their life without going through the necessary channels, which is ridiculous with over 45K applications and over 40K students enrolled. I'm not saying the system is perfect, but there are definitely ways to make sure you get what you need and to solve your problems. I've been a student for the past 6 years (now work here while in grad school) and frankly...if you have at least a little patience and treat them with some decency you should not have this many problems. Just don't go in with attitude, cause no one will want to help you... |

Duh and/or hello! I assume your post was sarcasm but I can't pass up the opportunity for an Archer reference. |

Said no one...ever. EDIT: Except the OP! |
| 12 weeks 5 days ago | Also...this is not |
Also...this is not particularly OT. It has to do with the B1G picture, which relates to Michigan basketball. |
| 12 weeks 5 days ago | Actually, we should want OSU |
Actually, we should want OSU to win. They're practically out of the race, while state isn't. So...yea. Go team from that school down south? (Excuse while I go vomit a little bit...) |

Yea, if MSU wins I'm going to find you and kick you in the shin... |
| 12 weeks 5 days ago | Yes, cause they will |
Yes, cause they will definitely overcharge you and return your money rather than undercharge you and then have to hound you for more money. Makes perfect business sense...I'm sure as soon as she realized and took her W-2 they changed it, right? |

I'd rather he doesn't get the fastest time cause I want to see him win in the NFL, and being with the Raiders is no way to win games... |
| 13 weeks 1 day ago | "the amount of aide given to |
"the amount of aide given to students has hardly kept up with tuition increases." This is not entirely true. Under current financial aid policy, all in-state students have 100% need met. Yes, out of state students get screwed on that side, but in-state students should not have a problem paying for UM. |
| 13 weeks 1 day ago | Right, but if tuition changes |
Right, but if tuition changes then he would have that reimbursed. You're paying for the whole semester, not on a per-month basis. They payment for the WHOLE semester is split up. |
| 13 weeks 1 day ago | That's not called being an |
That's not called being an asshole. It's called "You're no longer a resident." I can understand it if you moved in the past year, but if you have been out of the state for longer than a year, you're not a resident in most cases. |
| 13 weeks 1 day ago | That's not called being an |
I'm confused as to how he was charged out of state tuition for 4 months. This is a one-time payment, not something you pay monthly. And if they decide to change his classification he will likely get reimbursed. The University won't undercharge people and then ask for more. They will overcharge and then reimburse you...as does any other business. EDIT: Meant to reply to a post above originally |
| 16 weeks 1 day ago | I don't know what it is about |
I don't know what it is about the basketball ones that just don't do it for me as much as the football ones. I think it is the more cartoonish feel the basketball ones have. Definitely good work regardless, since no one's paying you to do this. Plus it's harder to find a concept to incorporate from opponents because there's multiple each week. I loved the ones with the tiny train coming out of the tunnel, the corn cob with the winged helmet and the huskie puppy peeing itself. Classics! |

It's actually the sweat collected from marching band uniforms after every August game. |
