It is my belief that he will have the widest shoulders in Jacksonville, Florida; and that he will very well enjoy the wax museum in St. Augustine, and the alligator feedings, as I have.
Sporting teams' prospects, notwithstanding, it's difficult to deny the allure of A1A, Beachfront Avenue.
Ponte vedre represent
F*** the beach/St. Johns. Duval County, Mandarin Represent. #RiverDawg
Beach Blvd (near Kernan) here. Enjoying a day on the couch watching Michigan basketball......and staying away from The Players on this cold day.
Welcome to JAX, Jake!
Best of luck to Jake
Rough year for the Jags, but they exorcized themselves of Bortles, so the sky might be the limit
Side note, but does any NFL team have a worst catchphrase than "Duuuval"? Imagine the sound of the big house with 100,000+ screaming in unison "WASHTENAWWWW" or having the mouth breathers in Columbus yell out "FRANKLINNNN" every home game. Jags need to go back to the drawing board and not make their county such a big part of their identity
Duval vs all y’all
You really think the Jags started that? Lol
Duuuuuvaaaaal. It's just what people from there say.
No different than people from Ann Arbor saying "ACE DUECE!"
Damn near every city or region has some nickname or saying that refers to the city/region.

I have never in my life heard someone say, "Ace Deuce." That must be a Walmart thing.

I heard it a lot on campus in the late 2000's. Maybe it started and ended then.
EDIT: I bet it rose and fell with the intense popularity of online poker. A2 = Ace Deuce.

Ace Deuce or The Deuce. A2. The Mitten. Motor City. Dirty South. Fayettenam. ATL. The Ville. StarkVegas. H-Town. Chocolate City. The 6. 2-6. Buzz City. Every city in the country has a nickname...Jacksonville just says theirs slow.

Some extra information: Duval County IS Jacksonville, so your proxies don't quite apply. The city of Jacksonville encompasses the entire county. Territorially, they're one in the same. "From the Duval" is another saying. I, for one, appreciate the sense of community in a small market city and I don't think anyone outside of the area has much of a right to suggest what should or shouldn't be a part of an identity.
Is it all that much worse than a team that was in Auburn Hills yelling DEEEEETROIT BASKETBALLL? Or, the Tennessee Titans making the whole state of Tennessee a part of their franchise when they should really just be focused on Nashville? What about Golden State? If Warriors fans started chanting Golden State, would that be ridiculous?
One player that stood out/up during some tough years for M fans
Best of luck to Jake.
I still remember him almost single-handedly obliterating the Minnesota offensive backfield on a play like it was yesterday. Hopefully, he gets a chance to do it in the pros too.

He was a fan favorite at Michigan for good reason. Was doing well in GB. Damn acl. Good luck in Jacksonville

Good. I hated him being on that asshole Packer team. I could never root for them
Like the said, he was coming into his own before the injuries. Not a bad pickup by the Jags.
