People who were pre-emptively calling us the #1 team in the nation are looking like idiots now. |

This is what happens when you appoint an asshole Republican to the head of anything.
They run whatever they're head of as if it were a purely profit-seeking business venture. |

If I recall correctly, Stefon Diggs allegedly has character issues.A while back he was trash talking Dorial Green Beckham on his twitter account and calling some high school teams "phony" because they had a lot of white players. |

| 1 year 38 weeks ago | The Heisman is more of an |
The Heisman is more of an award to the player with the most media hype than the most valuable. Michigan won't win enough games to make him a contender. Denard could break every record in the book but if Michigan loses 4-5 games due to a lousy defense, the talking heads will say he lacks "game-winning ability". |
| 4 years 1 week ago | For anyone watching the game |
For anyone watching the game tonight or following it on gametracker, know that UM sometimes comes out of the gate slow, but turns it up big time in the 2nd half. Don't get too down if they are losing at half. Also, I believe they'll go varsity soon enough. After all, the new football training facility on south campus is really primarily a new lacrosse field. |

Suing would be an incredibly pussy thing to do and I guarantee the University of Michigan would be mocked nationwide for weeks for it's pettiness if they ever considered it. |
| 4 years 1 week ago | My favorite thing is when |
My favorite thing is when Mickey and Ken go off on a tangent about the merits of wood sticks versus composite ones. I think they were a bit more homer-ish this series than normal. I think they were frustrated because they really felt like the Wings were the better team (Babcock also said he felt that Detroit outplayed Anaheim in every game, even the ones they lost). I kind of agree. |

Hah, to me really, it's things like this that makes the rivalry great. A lot of other schools that claim to have a better rivalry than us (like the ones in the SEC) don't ever care enough to do stuff like this. |

Yeah, Grady is really pushing for a boot. If he isn't off the team by the start of the season, he'll be so far down the depth chart he might as well be. |

Going by Scout's rankings, our top 5 don't really match up with theirs: PSU: #2 MLB, #3 QB, #9 OG, #14 RB, #21 WR (1 5-star, 3 4-stars, 1 3-star) Vs. Michigan: #7 QB, #15 S, #19 WR, #26 WR, #41 RB (4 4-stars, 1 3-star) |

Wow, Michigan fans are actually e-mailing Pryor? That's really embarassing. |
| 4 years 2 weeks ago | Yeah, posting his phone |
Yeah, posting his phone number is not cool. I hope no one is actually obsessive enough to call and harass him. |
| 4 years 3 weeks ago | I hope neither Cleveland or |
I hope neither Cleveland or LA makes it because the media is insufferable regarding both these players. They are both great though; hard to say which one is better. I like LeBron better though because he comes off as very mature in his interviews. I remember after US won gold in the Olympics, when Kobe was interviewed he acted like it was nothing and said he just "did what he does" or something like that. When LeBron was asked the same questions he talked about his respect for the other teams, the magnitude of the stage they played on, and his pride in representing the country. Those responses just seemed to reflect their personalities. |

Good interview, Tom. He said a few positive things about Michigan (and Mathis) without even being lead into it. |
| 4 years 3 weeks ago | Tough call. In McFarlin's |
Tough call. In McFarlin's corner we have things like: "Why did Mike Hart get drafted so late? "I'm not understanding RR and his recruits. In 2008 all his recruits for the most part were smaller guys with a couple exceptions. Now as the 2009 class starts to take shape, all the guys are way taller and seem more like typical pro set style guys. The only exception would be Tony Drake. Why are we pretty much recruiting the reverse type of guy that we recruited in 2008? It doesn't make sense. Why can't we just have high profile players?" And the famous "Michigan could go 12-0 this year." thread. From R_mahorn1974 we have gems like: "During t.v timeouts, its always silent waiting for the game to begin again. Why not have a 'Fan Cam' like all pistons and all other teams that do this......Also, have the cheerleaders or students go around the stadium shooting up michigan t-shirts to the people who are the loudest. Or give away free pizzas around the stadium to the fans who are the loudest." "Can 2009 team be a 2006 team? For those who didnt know, we started the 2006 season 11-0. So you may be thinking, NO WAY can this happen. But, did you know that 2006 team was supposed to be 5th in the CONFERENCE? Noone expected to start 11-0." And in reference to Paulus potentially coming to Michigan: "A good comparison could be Matt Mauck. The LSU QB from the National Champion 2003 team. Graduated HS in 1997, took a few years off because he played minor league baseball. Came back to school and few years later he won a National title(2003). But, it did take him 3 football seasons to win the national title. Then, think Leak/Tebow. Leak the senior(paulus), with a QB everyone would rather see, Tebow(forcier)." |

He was a redshirt freshman for crying out loud. He can certainly compete for playing time in a couple years and I wouldn't be surprised if he is a big-time QB by his senior year. |

| 4 years 4 weeks ago | I think MSU returns almost |
I think MSU returns almost all of their starters on both sides, but the guys they do lose are key players. On offense they lost Hoyer, Ringer, and a couple O-lineman. On defense they lost two D-lineman, one LB, and Otis Wiley. They'll get to a bowl game, but they will be throttled by Penn State and drop a couple others along the way. I think they've benefited more from the recent weakness of the Big 10 than any other team. |
| 4 years 4 weeks ago | In that case, why don't we |
In that case, why don't we just put Odoms at quarterback? QBs need to be able to throw, regardless of how fast he is. Denard is not a good passer. I am basing this on the fact that he completed fewer than 50% of his passes in high school among several other reasons. |
| 4 years 4 weeks ago | Wow, sounds like a full |
Wow, sounds like a full house. Also, for anyone who was ripping on Pryor over some jersey scrimmage a week or so ago, feel free to ignore that he went 13/18 for 191 yards and a couple touchdowns in the spring game. |
| 4 years 4 weeks ago | Detroit's biggest weakness is |
Detroit's biggest weakness is their penalty killing which Columbus was the least capable of exploiting. Anaheim, on the other hand, has a strong power play unit while Vancouver's is pretty meh. We match up with Vancouver better, but it looks like it may be Anaheim anyway. |

Has there ever been a direct quote from Boren where he said he left because of swearing? My understanding is that the belief is he left because of the staff's strict coaching style during practices. Michigan fans just cherry-picked the swearing thing and ran it into the ground. |
| 4 years 4 weeks ago | If Forcier is healthy, it'll |
If Forcier is healthy, it'll be him. Our QBs have always seemed to get dinged up right before the OSU game recently however, so it could also be Sheridan, who I am certain will be the 2nd-string QB. Injuries are impossible to predict though, so bet on Forcier. |
| 4 years 4 weeks ago | I kind of hope San Jose can |
I kind of hope San Jose can beat the Ducks because I'd feel pretty nervous about playing Anaheim next round. I noticed San Jose outshot Anaheim 44-26 last night and lost. That brings back nightmares from when Detroit used to get almost triple the amount of shots as their playoff opponents did and still lost. |

Almost every QB takes the current QB situation of a team they are looking at into account. You're naive if you don't think there are players on Michigan who came here because they wanted easy playing time right away. |
