0SU football bus breaks down in snowstorm on way home

True story:  On our way to our parking spot at Pioneer High around 10am, we were stopped in heavy traffic to wait for 4-5 0SU busses, escorted by police, carrying the football team to the stadium.  I mumbled something dismissive and rude as they passed because… F them.

After our celebratory dinner at Metzgers following the glorious beat-down, we started home.  As we drove east on I-94 and then south on US-23, the snow got heavier and the traffic slowed.  We didn’t get above 35 mph for about and hour. As we approached Dundee, we saw some commotion ahead which turned out to be a broken down bus on the right shoulder.  As we got closer, I said to my wife, “wouldn’t it be funny if that is one of those buckeye busses?”  As we passed, we read the giant 0SU logo on the bus confirming my premonition and everyone in my truck exploded in laughter.  An already somber bus ride home, slowed to a crawl by driving snow, interrupted by a long pause on the highway for a flat tire…. I just don’t know how to write a better story to end to end this a-maizing day!

[both scream in shock and get out of bed, grossed out, then soon shake it off and pretend to forget about it]

RYAN:
See The Game this year?

JIM:
Yeah. Hell of a game. Hell of a game.

RYAN:
You got a great team this year. You're gonna go all the way.

I'm trying to feel sorry for somebody in this situation.  The bus driver?  I don't know.  I've been smiling irrepressibly all afternoon/evening, and this just fits neatly into the rest of the day.  To hell with Ohio State.  Go blue.  Let it snow!

+1 for Metzgers!  I’m sure most of you know of it but if not, you owe it to yourself to go. Great Ann Arbor tradition. So glad they opened back up out at Zeeb road exit.

I am currently staying in Ohio. I was fixing up my new living space in Westland and watching the game . On my way back to Ohio i saw a road sign at the border . It read : Dont be Blue , Buckle up Buckeyes . Wish I could have taken a pic .
