This will be the thread for hot takes about the defense and defensive playcalling.

I couldn't watch but NOW sooooo excited!

4 of the 5 times I've traveled to a Michigan game, they lost, so I turned down an invitation for a seat a few rows behind the Michigan bench.

But I declined. You're welcome.

Good mention.

Cornelius Johnson and Braiden McGregor both picked the best possible time to play their best games in the winged helmet.

I know we’re all still euphoric, but damn, what if McGregor had come up a pick on one of those two plays? On the first, he did a HELL of a job selling that he was blitzing before dropping back. He baited Stroud into that throw.

And what if this dipshit officiating crew doesn’t find a way to negate that late Stroud fumble that Upshaw very likely takes to the house? 52-23 would have been even better!

This was the exam for the defense.

And they were spectacular. I didn’t think they could do it this well.

I mean, Michigan had no business even being in this game. But the defense did enough to keep it close until the offense took over, and then jailed the high-flying Buckeye Offense in the second half.

Give Minter a raise. The “borrow the Ravens” strategy Harbaugh played has transformed this team.

This group should get most of the accolades. 3 points in the 2nd half. Made stops in the red zone. Don't really recall a guy wide open down the field--coverage was tight all day (even when OSU made plays).

And maybe most importantly, when the offense was struggling early, held OSU to a FG, a Turnover on Downs, and a punt after the initial TD. They got just enough stops to keep Michigan in it until the tide was turned.

An amazing job across the board.

OSU had a bit over 310 yards of offense at halftime. The fact that they had only 20 points, in spite of that many yards, was big.

It was a lot like last year though, wasn't it? OSU moved the ball well and quickly between the 20's and then bogged down both years and couldn't finish the deal.

If you told me before the game that OSU would end up with 492 yards total offense and that we would STILL smoke them, I'd never have believed it.

+1, amazing - he's giving up so much height to that TE (you can tell from the video, but I looked it up: half a foot. 6'4 vs 5'10) and Stover has his hands up pretty high.

Stover coulda made a MUCH better play on the ball though - catch it with his hands instead of barely with his fingertips and he probably holds on.  Good thing he's a TE and not Marvin Harrison Jr (or Olave and Wilson from last year).
