That was amaizing. And now I’m going back to watch the whole season from start to finish. I’m not ready to let it go.

On field moment that angered you of 2023?

Ryan Day’s meltdown. I mean, I love to see it, but I was beyond annoyed and I was sure a few calls were going to go his way to appease him.

Biggest surprise player of 2023? 

Can I pick surprise coach of 2023? Sherrone Moore, for sure! I knew he was a good OC, but I didn’t anticipate his excellence at HC for some big games! I think JH is coming back, but when it’s time to pass the baton, the team is in great hands. 

Favorite feature of MgoBlog?

The audio stuff is the best… Football podcasts and WTKA Round Tables. I refresh often during the season to get them as soon as they are released, and I miss them in the off season. I read everything on the front page, and I look through everything on the message board. Maybe my favorite written feature is Punt - Counter Punt. I especially appreciated that this year even the counter punt couldn’t predict a Michigan loss… just a close game.

Houston is a sprawling city. Everything in Houston is an hour away from anything in Houston. Having that rental vehicle is going to come in handy. Don’t be put off by drive times. 
 

Number 1 is NASA. Do the extras like getting the tram to the Mission Control Center.

Like shows and music? The Tina Turner Musical is in town that week.

Is this the only time you’re going to visit Texas with your son? Embrace the driving. Go to The Alamo. It’s 3 hours from here. Leave mid-morning. Visit the mission. Enjoy an early dinner on the Riverwalk. Drive back. You’ll be in bed by 9.30 and ready for a good night of sleep before the big game.

Edited to add: I am in Texas and after a rough few weeks our transmission rate is hovering around 1. 

1. Red wine from France. $12/bottle. No hangover if I enjoy the whole thing in one night. The teens made dinner - tamales and rice. 
 

2. I’m going home to my parents. These days that’s Florida. I can’t wait out C-19 so I am going to get tested (as are all the kids) and I’m going home. 
 

3. Oh. So many choices. Where the Red Fern Grows. 1000 Gifts. Any well researched/written biography of our founding fathers. We Were Soldiers. Band of Brothers. All Quiet on the Western Front. Any book... I’ll take any good book.

My loyalties are divided. We moved to Houston metro less than 3 months ago from the DC area, and the last MLB game I went to was to see the Nats at home last season.
