Sponsor Note: Orange Bowl Tickets Prices Have Come Down

Submitted by Seth on December 22nd, 2021 at 12:00 PM

Greg Cohen here from TicketIQ. As Seth said last week, we are proud to be MGoBlog’s “longest and best ticket partner.” We are reaching out to let you guys know that prices for the Orange Bowl have dropped 61% since they peaked two weeks ago.

You can do your own comparison of their prices for the same ticket on Stubhub. It’s *significant*. Prices for the same seats on TicketIQ are 10-20% cheaper than StubHub.

Additional Buying Tips

  • Ticket prices are at their lowest in the last two weeks, so now is most likely the best time to buy. As inventory drops over the next few days, prices could tick back up, so if you find something you like that is in your price range we suggest you act fast.
  • For fans looking for the cheapest tickets, these can be found in the 300 level In the end zones and corner. Speaking of the 300's, check out TicketIQ's "Ticket Hack" showing some sections where you can find affordable tickets with a great view of the field, all video boards, and the Michigan going through the tunnel.
  • Besides those 300-level seats, considering the prices, and views of the field, some of the best overall deals can be found in the 100 level in the corners, especially on the Michigan side of the field. Great deals can also be found in 200 level corner sections on the Michigan side of the field.
  • For fans looking for the best overall seats, those will be found in the Club sections on the 200’s level. Ticket prices in these sections start at $957 on the Michigan side, which are down nearly 40% in the last two weeks. Then there’s the 72 Club, right at the 50 yard line on the Michigan side, where prices start at $1,660 per ticket.

Thank you Seth and everyone else at MGoBlog for everything you do. To paraphrase Seth again: if you’re going to be looking on an online site, try the one that loves MGoBlog and isn’t trying fleece you. TicketIQ’s whole thing is we’re on your side.

My job is like the majority out there where when the Holiday falls on Saturday, the holiday is observed on Friday. New Year's Day falling on Saturday means we are recognizing the holiday on the 31st. So I'm not sure where your claim of most people being off on that following Monday as a national holiday would come into play.

I could have chosen to take that Monday off but didn't feel it was necessary since I'm off Thursday through the 3rd.

I don't specifically miss Miami Intl. for work travel. It's on my JMo's bottom 5 US airports list.

Pros (there's one) - They have a (it's been pre-COVID so it may have closed) Cafe Versailles inside the airport. So you can get a reasonably good cuban sandwich and some banging good coffee. That's the positive.

Negatives - It's big, and not exactly the easiest to get around in. Also the International terminal/flights can be confusing if you're in the wrong place.

I've had to board planes from the runway at this airport, like I'm Pablo Escobar and it's 1982. Not a fan of seeing the sausage made from that angle (but that may speak to my general apprehension about flying).

Most importantly, it's Miami. Surely you're aware of your own weather. You can't get your HVAC figured out Miami Airport? Every time I'm here during a summer month, it's humid as hell INSIDE, and it feels like I'm in one of those Caribbean airports that are basically open-air and "third world."  It's just way damn sweaty inside this airport. Houston is hot, they've figured out how to not have a sweaty airport. Get your shit together Miami Airport!

BTW - Love Miami the city, for any of you S. Floridians who think I'm taking shots at your city. Airport stinks. City great. Food great. Coffee great. People meh. lol

Ha. You know I had no clue, so I Googled it. It's an old school restaurant 50+ years and specializes in Cuban food. I thought maybe a family name or something? Nope, they named it after Palace Versailles. Weird AF. lol  But I promise, the food is amazing. If you're in Miami, go to Versailles. Cafe Versailles in the airport is a suitable substitute.

Agree. Miami airport sucks. But if I can get to La Carretta, that almost makes up for it. Have never heard of Cafe Versailles, but will have to check it out.

LaGuardia is in my bottom 5 as well.

The perma-state of construction is baffling, as well as how they do things. "Today the line goes through the women's restroom and by these ten people's cubicles, and you pick up your baggage in this tiny closet." Tomorrow "Everyone stands outside!" lol so weird there. I try to avoid it as much as possible, but sometimes you gotta LGA.

I don't have too much experience going through Miami other than standing like sweaty livestock waiting to go through customs for vacations.  LGA is definitely my worst globally...crammed with people, stained moldy ceiling tiles/carpet, overpriced food, that smell, etc...

Yea grabbing an officer is a bad idea. Some in the reddit comments were saying that it is a Cuban cultural thing. It seems pretty clear that the guy wasn't grabbing him maliciously. The officer's response was a much worse offense. Came out swinging and then choking.

Have you ever met a little dog that thinks it super tough and will take on any challenge from a much bigger dog (little dog syndrome). That's what this officer reminded me of.

Sorry in advance as I'm this information is available elsewhere on this site, but I understand Michigan fans are primarily in the east and south sections.  Is that right?

Thanks for the update. With everything going on out there it feels like there's more room to drop rather than a floor being put in. Initially I'd considered picking one up if it fell below the $500 range but at this point I think I can safely wait til the morning of the game before deciding if I want to make the drive down.

Just looked on Stubhub and the upper end zone was $265 per tix, then fees. Didn’t check airline prices because I can’t go and don’t want to refinance my house for the flights

There is a chance that the game will be cancelled by Omicron. My plan is to be at Miami and get the ticket last minutes.

There will be a lot of panic in the next 10 days as it is almost certain that we will see record number of daily infections among the vaccinated although there is a good chance that we will not see hospital being overrun.
