1989, i was in AIT at Aberdeen Proving Grounds in MD....   We were offered tickets to the Army Navy game and I was on the list to go..... Then I got put on fucking duty cause the Pvt. scheduled for duty got food poisoning and was admitted to Walter Reed.      I was pretty pissed, Navy kicked the game winning field goal with less than a minute on the clock.

A bloated military budget and the best they get is no ranking and Mizzou in the Who Gives A Fuck Bowl. Is this really being all you can be? Army should start using black ops. Get the CIA in on this if need be. Bug the opposition's locker room. Plant cameras in their football facilities. Get an undercover agent inside the team to collect intel and disable key players. Blackmail opposition coaches into handing you their playbooks. And if all else fails...destabilize the administrations of opposing schools and plant friendly, pliable regimes. Profit.

Eh, Mizzou is a Big 8/Big 12 team like Maryland is really an ACC team. Mizzou's big rivalry is with Kansas. Neither has done squat in football but the basketball games were HUGE in both states. They only joined the SEC in 2012 (with A&M). Mizzou, again, has no football history at all. Great Mizzou players, um...drawing a blank. The defensive end sack monster from 10 years ago? Him and that's kinda it, I think. Even their beloved basketball program hasn't won anything for all the scandals and penalties they've endured. But Mizzou did bring the St. Louis and Kansas City markets into the cable package, so...Maryland?

I watched the last 10 minutes on ESPN replay this morning while getting ready for work - what a great finish!  Glad Army won it, even though I'm a solid Navy guy.  Way to go, Cadets!!

I didn't see much of this game, but it pissed me off when the Mizzou kicker saluted after making a field goal at the end of the 1st half.
