Brooklyn has been found safe in North Carolina as was suspected!

That is great news. As a girl dad I sincerely hope that if that guy really did talk her into running away from her family, that he is castrated before being sent to prison for many years.

Thankfully my older kids responded well to their mom and me scaring the living the shit out of them with horror stories about all the things that can happen if you screw around on the Internet. And I strongly recommend filtering and accountability software for any kid with electronics. Covenant Eyes is a great one. It also has "grooming detection" along with sending screenshots of anything remotely suspicious to the parents.

Just kidding. Congratulations dude.

To anyone else out there missing: please don't be afraid to ask for help or speak to other people you care about. There are a lot of good people in this world and they want to help you. Just because you think they'll get mad or that you'll get into trouble, it isn't necessarily true. You can't get the help you don't ask for. And I promise you they're out there with you.

What a wonderful answer to prayer, and a credit to hard police work. It is a crazy world we live in. I am thankful not only that Brooklyn has been found and is on her way home, but am very happy for her mom and dad, and her whole family. When kids make . . . poor choices, they typically have NO IDEA the trauma their family, especially their parents, most especially their mother, go through.
