Who would you want to broadcast Michigan's games?

Submitted by dieseljr32 on

As the 2010 season slowly approaches, I wonder who will be broadcasting the Michigan games that are on the ESPN networks. Some broadcasting teams that ESPN throws out are great and others not so much.  In my opinion a good play-by-play/color teeam goes a long way into capturing the excitement that is college football.

So my question to you all is, which broadcasting team from ESPN's 2009 lineup would you want to broadcast each Michigan game?

I vote for Sean McDonough and Matt Millen.

Woooooah Nelly! I agree. This guy coined the term "The Big House". He's just a little old. He and his voice is a college football icon. Love this guy, no homo. Throw in a young Brian Griese with him. Excellence on the air waves...

interesting highlights where they have game film, but no permission to replay the network broadcast, so they superimpose Frank Beckmann's radio call over the video...

Bob Ufer & Keith Jackson.

Well, and maybe the Victoria's Secret lingerie models (sporting VS's new line of "tear-away" lingerie) working the sidelines:

I'm a big fan of Brent and Kirk. Brent was synonymous with primetime Big Ten games with me for a long while. And while Kirk isn't the best color guy, I'm not sure there is a "best color guy", especially when it comes to playing off Brent's more drunken sounding rants.

Lindsey Nelson! He was renowned for his huge collection of incredibly loud checkered sportcoats. (Ah, 70s fashion... got to be the worst ever.). I watched the intro to a game he did and his partner (might've been Schenkel) introduced him and asked "Lindsey, who shot the couch?"

Remember guys, I asked which broadcasting team from the 2009 lineup would you want to broadcast each Michigan game.

Otherwise, I would definitely hands down want Keith Jackson.

How about Mario Impemba and Rod Allen....jk I would like to see this trio Keith Jackson, Brent Musberger and either Bob Griese/Gary Danielson in the broadcasting booth and Dr. Jerry Punch on the sidelines.

the Buckeye lovers themselves Brent and Herbie.  I can't understand how anyone would pick them.  Brent's love affair with the Buckeyes is only trumped by his senile comments at inopportune times in the action.

I always thought it would be interesting to have local radio personalities do the home broadcasts.  Even though I'd want to hear OSU's team as little as anyone, it would still be better than the national teams orgasming over the coolest new thing/Tebow.

Local broadcasters would give a knowledgeable perspective on at least one team that's playing.

I am going to ignore the insistence of the OP on it being a current member of ESPN's broadcasting team, and I'm going to go with Keith Jackson instead.
