You say you're ashamed of us; you say we embarrass you. Frankly, Dude, you embarrass me. You traded in your opinions and civil discourse for a big LED billboard of ad hominem bullshit only because it made you the star of the show, provided the show is Psychopaths on Parade. Spend as little time in your room as possible. Don't eat there, don't study there, don't hang out there, hell, don't even sleep there if you can help it. The more places you force yourself to go, the more people you'll meet and the more enriching your experience will be. It's so muthafuckin easy to make friends at Michigan. That's why the Deadspin guy is such a bonerface. There are 27,000 undergrads at the school--at least three or four of them are bound to find you tolerable. You don't have to look that hard. You just have to be willing to say yes to people. The first friend I made at Michigan was my Spanish classmate; we were the only two guys in a discussion group of 15 or so. Then I met his friends and they became my friends. Then we had enough friends to make hockey teams so we'd go to the Elbel parking lot and make hockey friends. Then our hockey friends knew such and so in the film department and oh hey I know her too we took SAC 236 together isn't that cool You'll probably even become friends with the people who work at your favorite bars and restaurants. Ali at Oasis just graduated from dental school. SO MANY FRIENDS FRIENDSHIP YEAH also congrats on your enrollment! |
