No, your rant was not long enough. I was so pissed off when they went to the HS game that was BYU-OSU for "Bonus Coverage". I almost lost my mind. Someone write a letter, I'm too busy/lazy.

surprising to have it on that channel..does anyone know where to find replay of yesterdays game? firstrowsports didn't work for me
October 14th, 2012 at 12:51 AM ^
I had 3 diffferent links that worked there.
October 14th, 2012 at 12:55 AM ^
Well that sucks. As someone not in the Big10 footprint, I hate having to watch online streams of big games. Sigh...
October 14th, 2012 at 8:04 AM ^
I'm in the same boat. I guess ESPN is looking at the liklihood of another lopsided victory for Michigan against a crappy opponent and doesn't want viewers tuning out for the last half of the game.

I am in NYC and I have btn on time warner cable. IT's 5 dollars a month. I would get it and cancelled after the game. They might pro-rata the day.
October 14th, 2012 at 12:58 AM ^
I wasn't expecting ABC but I thought ESPN or ESPN2 for sure.
BTN announcers suck. Had MSU won today, maybe our game would have been on ESPN.
October 14th, 2012 at 1:34 AM ^
ABC/ESPN can cut your game short (see today)...BTN will not.
Doesn't the BTN get a pick over ESPN like once or twice a year? This may have been that after ABC passed on it.
October 14th, 2012 at 6:09 AM ^
The lone advantage, yes. Although I was able to watch the entire Illinois game on ABC since I live in southeast Michigan. The game was also available on ESPN for me.

But as long as Chris Martin is not in the booth I will be happy.

I'm ok with this. I think people are dinging Michigan a bit too much for two losses to top-ten teams, but MSU's season is basically over after this game whatever happens. Our Illinois game really didn't deserve the ABC footprint.
October 14th, 2012 at 12:59 AM ^
yeah i couldnt figure it out. it works when it wants to. the stream on firstrow is pretty legit. as clear as tv. here we go tigers. two more outs
October 14th, 2012 at 1:03 AM ^
On the bright side, we likely have a lot more games to watch because of the network. For those of you not in the area, I feel your pain. I don't have the NFL network, and I miss a lot of Thursday games. With that said, I wouldn't switch places. As the network gets older, it will grow in exposure.

I like noon games on not the BTN. I am disappoint.

Nooooo! I was really hoping for a noon kick these later games are getting old, or maybe I am.

I've had it with this shit! Long story made short, I live in rural Alaska, can only get tv on DISH, can only access their northernmost satellite which DOES NOT CARRY THE BTN. FUCK, FUCK &FUCK THIS FUCKIN SHIT!

While I do agree that some of the previous games this year should've been noon, I am VERY glad to see this one be 3:30. It gives the fans time to tailgate, creates a better atmosphere, and ensures the stadium will be packed and rocking early.
October 14th, 2012 at 3:38 AM ^
So, I'm getting old. I understand several evening games, and several late afternoon games.
But come on.
- 3 Night games. (Bama, ND, Nebraska.)
- 5 Late afternoon games. (AFA, Mass, Purdue, Illinois, MSU.)
- 1 noon game (Ohio.)
- 3 still unknown (Minnesota, NW, Iowa.)
We could end up with zero noon starts in Ann Arbor, and only one all year. Do all the students and locals prefer these late starts? I don't mind several. But ideally, I'd like more balance. 2 - 3 night games, and 3 - 4 late afternoon games, and 5 - 7 noon games, would work a lot better for me.
Also, I don't like that TV holds us hostage until just before the game, in the case of MSU, until only 1 week before the game.
"Get off my lawn, punks!"
October 14th, 2012 at 9:02 AM ^
I don't like noon starts - hampers tailgaiting.
October 14th, 2012 at 9:40 AM ^
Should start at 1:00 PM every Saturday, just as God intended when He invented college football.
October 14th, 2012 at 10:26 AM ^
Feels like I've posted this 24885921 times on here, but Michigan does start games past Noon in November at home.
It's been like that since Bo declared after a game in the 80s ended when it was pitch black out.
October 14th, 2012 at 12:01 PM ^
The 2011 revisions are important:
"And on the sixth day, Brandon said: 'let there be light;' and thereafter, all were cold on late-November evenings."

Response of the day was "...It's fifty degrees outside!" when he was talking about the warm cider. I lost it.

What was even worse was the banter about it being typical Big Ten weather in October, when the typical weather may be cool, but the sky looks like the intro. to the Simpsons: bright blue with big fluffy white clouds and lots of sunshine.
October 14th, 2012 at 10:29 AM ^
I don't understand this. Maybe it's just the lunatic I am, but I like Noon starts since I'm a nervous wreck before every game no matter the opponent. Like getting the win early, and then I can tailgate and not have a blank stare on face the whole time thinking about the game.

The BTN gets to jump jump ESPN on the pick of games twice a year within a certain number of weeks of the season. I am guessing they used the jump this week.
