The old MSU ball of Teske in the BTT final. (Still hurts.)
There's no consistency on these OOB reviews. It clearly went off TT both of these times. It shouldn't be based on the spirit of the game, but it should be overturned if they are gonna McGuyver these calls.
I have a huge problem with replay. If you can’t judge for certain don’t change the call. Did it look like it went off his pinky. Yes. But you can’t be sure so don’t change it.
So fuck8ng inconsistent.
Ruining a great game. Come on! He knocked it out of his hands! BS
They’re about to fuck Tech like they did Michigan last year against Purdue.
I really hate the super-slo-mo reply when a guy knocks the ball OOB - the UVA obviously swatted it out of his hands - that's a ridiculous call.
Virginia ball. They'll hit a 3. Book it.
Welp the refs missed a blatant foul call. Why can't they just call that? What a BS rule. They really need to solve this over the off season.
Terrific game
These replays are ruining basketball. Come on guys. The defender knocked it out of his hand. I don't care if 3 microns of Moretti's right pinkie touched it .0001 seconds after it was hit, that should be Tech ball. Unless we want to go back and replay every single loose ball possession, which is some damn insanity.
UM got fucked on a Zapruder'ing like this last year. So far as I'm concerned, it should be TT ball.
TT just got Michigan'd...
The knock out of bounds replay handover to the team who knocked the ball out is the worst abomination of sport that I can think of.
It'll win Virginia the National Championship.
What is it with UVA? They get crazy breaks every game.
Officials impacted the game again for Virginia
Completely. Guy got 2 free throws literally for tripping over his own teammate with a minute to go and the announcers said nothing and didn't even notice.
How do they overturn that OOB call and not overturn the one late in regulation?
That replay ruined this game. Could have been a great ending.
Game decided by a super slow-mo call that the ball hit a hair on the guys pinky going out of bounds
Yay. The officials decide another game. Why do I even watch sports anymore?
Game's over now, thanks to the refs.
Jordan Poole, I mean Culver with the early clock miss.
That stupid ass call has to change. The dude from TT didn’t dribble the ball out of bounds. The damn defender knocked it out
He also got grabbed by Guy which made him lose control of the ball in the first place
Ask matthews against purdue. Hate that
All people will remember is these free throws. Refs decided the game as effing usual
Culver lost that game. Period. Terrible.
5-21; 0-5 from 3. Ya, he lost it.
Agree. Was pulling for TT, but too much Hero Ball towards the end of regulation and in OT. UVA once again had some help, but their Team Ball helped just as much.
He reminds me a lot of Jordan Poole, really good talent, just needs time to have his game mature.
This is why I've never been able to be a hardcore basketball fan. No other sport is so completely influenced and determined by officiating. This game could have had an epic ending, maybe even a second overtime. Instead the refs and replay officials just handed UVA the game.
Michigan's 2016 football team would like you to remember a certain game in Columbus...
At least Michigan had a chance to do something after the bad spot. The blown call against Texas Tech essentially just started the foul- free throw cycle that ended the game.
They CANNOT swallow their whistles and not influence the game.
That reversal is a big problem for the game of basketball. If you review that call.....review all calls from start to finish of all games.
Yep. For 100 yrs that is a no brainer call. Now it is frame by frame replay.
Even worse is that it was reversed. One thing if that was the original call - I still would have disagreed with it - but just ridiculous that it was overturned.

Terrible ruling by the officials; the ball was clearly directed OOB by Virginia, and Guy's arm-grab ought to be a foul if not... otherwise mid-dribble it would be legitimate to grab the opponent's arm to prevent him from getting to the ball. And not just saying that because I had a bracket with TT winning it all...
Redemption. Take note.
I wonder if they even bother to look at those OOB plays in real time.
Super slo-mo distorts things so badly. I don't care who wins this game, but I hate to see a dumb call make such an impact.
UVA basically gets the ball for knocking it out of bounds. The coaches need to do something about that play
Yep. For 100 years, when a guy knocks the ball out of another's hands OOB, the offense keeps the ball. Suddenly now it's determined by a frame-by-frame replay. Terrible.
Wow. Weird. I literally almost typed the same thing word for word.
I just saw that too. Well, it's true, damn it!
"One Shining Moment" renamed -- "One more super slow-mo ref deciding fist fuck"
I feel bad for TT but better team won.
Virginia deserved it. But, FUCK, that overturned call on the knock out of bounds was horrible.
Texas Tech played an amazing game, as did Virginia. Both teams deserve credit.
Agree with the comments here about instant replay.
No way that should be off a Tech player when it would be the same call all game but slo mo replay bc an arbitrary time on clock reverses it.
Hate that for Tech. Two point game and Tech ball.
Goodbye March Madness. Hello April snow. Gotta love it!
