Best April fools joke on me was my 20 year old son telling me he got his GF pregnant. I wasn’t mad, in fact I was looking forward to becoming a grandpa. Alas, it was a joke and I didn’t get grandkids for another 15 years.

One of my sons was born on April 1. He loves to laugh and thinks it's hilarious to try to trick people. I guess it was inevitable that would be his personality.

I had 2 kids in HS and my wife let me know she was pregnant after a few months before telling me I didn't need to get the snip because she felt she couldn't get pregnant...well my mothers B'day is April 1st so I waited to tell her on her birthday because I knew she would think I was messing with her. It was a fun call.

My wife told me her water broke at midnight on April 1st, two weeks before her due date.
I was getting ready for bed, and said, "haha."
Anyway, the Spring game this year is on my daughter's birthday.

This is the same day as the NCAA final four games, which typically take place at 6 and 8:45. Hopefully, this means that the spring game won't be a night game.

It was at 5pm in 2019... and scheduled for 5:45pm in 2018 until it got cancelled... And 6pm in 2016... It has been an evening/night game more often than not in recent years lol

Wonder if it'll be an actual game, or a somewhat-related-game-type-substance, or a seriously-this-is-just-an-open-practice.
Between the lack of gamelike format and the insistence on holding it earlier, colder, and darker than most other schools (blah blah Michigan's semester ends earlier I know), it's clear that Michigan does not place a high priority on making the Spring Game a popular event. Which is fine, I guess... just seems like a wasted opportunity.

So excited to see both football players and footballs exist in the space where we go to watch football games --- but no game will be had. That is one thing that ohio state actually still beats us in -- spring game excitement and making it an actual, sold-out, event.

Hopefully the weather is nice. My wife and I have long felt like the spring game is a great first game experience for young kids--it's free, so you don't feel guilty if you don't stay long--but the weather always seems to be shitty, and you don't want to try and have little ones sit out in that...

Yeah. Seems like it could be a couple of weeks later. Finals week isn't until the end of April. It could be held on April 15th then there would be a bigger crowd.

Does that still happen. I remember back when I was a kid the local post office stayed open until midnight on tax day. A few years ago I went to mail my taxes (I think around 6pm) and no dice, they had already closed at 5...

Not looking for a circus. something fun and football related. why not refer to me as an AD of a team that has won a National title? because many of them do it. We don't even play games. they just half ass some situational stuff and then call it a day.
If it was just a "football practice" then they wouldnt brand it as a game and they wouldnt have a crowd.

I can assure you when you play football at this level it is "work." It was a joke and using another AD wouldn't have made it funny. No one needs injuries in a spring game and everyone claiming they want a "game" will bitch about it the minute it happens. Good day.

We don't need injuries. Ever. So why practice/play at all? I'm not saying they need to do a Crossfit challenge ... maybe run some fun 2 minute drills. Kicking contest. Again, i'm not saying make it a clown show.. im just saying, make it entertaining for the crowd a little.
It pays off.. kids have a good time... adults too.. and those kids are fans for life.
What I'm not asking for.. is that stupid DJ crap and lots of loud music thru the speakers etc..
