Phew. When I first saw this thread title I thought this was that dude advertising his pro-style QB kid/brother/self again. I'd +1 just because you're NOT him.

Actually it isn't the same school. In an attempt to confuse everyone outside of South Florida, there's an American Heritage Delray Beach and an American Heritage Plantation. They're about 45 minutes apart and 2 different schools. Feagin was from Delray and this kid is from Plantation, this school is about 5 minutes from where Vlad went.

His mailbox is being bombarded as we speak with letters. He sounds like he's determined. I can't even imagine what he's gonna be like in 4 years. By then we should be coming off a 13-0 NC season finishing #1,censensus preseaon #1 he's the #1 recruit in the country and couldn't see himself wearing anything but the Maize and Blue.

I saw this on the Yahoo homepage. Can this kid still only play 4 years of HS ball? Because if so this doesn't make sense because he'd have to sit out a year. I think he only does get 4 yrs though because I do remember something like this with OJ Mayo playing varsity in 7th grade or something like that.

When I wrestled we had a 8th grader that wrestled 98lbs. He only had 4 years and couldn't wrestle as a Sr. He did get 2nd place in the state twice and lost to the same kid both times. The BB coach at my son's HS allegedly considered pulling up an 8th grader because of depth issues at Varsity, but opted not to so the kid would have eligibility as a Sr.

Is he transferring to Waterford Our Lady of the Lakes? You know, I heard a rumor that they have a QB ready for the Big Ten, too. Let's go spin up some home grown snake-oil and get M the package deal!

He's never going to get a chance to just be a kid with all the vultures circling. He may look like he's almost a man, but he's not. And it sounds like maybe his parents aren't around (older brother is guardian). Of course every kid wants to be the number 1 player in the country. But there's a lot of pressure that goes with that. I hope his older brother is smart enough to help him deal.

with the ridiculous amount of ass-kissing and slavish, adoring attention that he's going to receive from adults trying to lure him to their schools, there's virtually no chance this kid is going to lead a normal, undistorted life.
