Sam Webb: Michigan trending well for Hill, Asiasi, and Tagaloa

Submitted by 1464 on

I didn't see this posted, but Sam tweeted this info yesterday.  Specifically -

"Another REALLY positive development in #Michigan's courtship of Lavert Hill"

and

"#Michigan gaining momentum with big time West Coast duo too"

Now, I follow Sam on twitter.  I do not have access to his $$$ article.  Because it's only an alcohol problem if you pay to drink it, right?  Thought I'd pass along my non-information seeing as it sounds like really awesome non-information.

Couple this with the fact that Dwumfour believes that Michigan will have the #1 class on signing day, and we may have hit on a few bigtime prospects.

Friday will be very telling for us since that is when Chase Allen will be making his announcement.  If he does not pick us, then I think we can begin to be more positive on Asiasi.

is not looking at the 247 class recruiting ratings but is positive we will land Gary which in his mind will get us the #1 class.  That guarantee is all I need to agree we will have the #1 class no matter what the rankings say........Just bring on Gary baby!

Tagaloa's most recent Twitter adds include David Long, Khaleke Hudson, Butt, Mone, Dwumfour, Uche, a UM Grad Asst, a UM FB staff analyst, and 2 UM football recruiting sources. That can't be a bad thing.

Magnus if you read this thoughts on Mitchell as a S? I think when I asked earlier you liked him a lot more as a WR but it sounds like he is headed to be a DB.

My understanding is that one of the hurdles for Boss is getting his family to be OK with him not being in Cali. The kid himself may not have a problem with distance but it's a proximity to family thing. I also don't know to what extent the two are connected. Will it necessarily be a "Two or None" thing? Anyway, is love to get both if we could. It'd also improve the California pipeline. Also wouldn't mind if VV recommitted.

What some people are failing to realize is that this year's recruiting class may be the most important one JH&Co bring in because it sets the tone for all recruiting classes that follow. If we secure the top class or even Top 3-5, it puts us at the table with the perennial contenders. It's no secret JH&Co has done less with more, so it will be very interesting to see what they can do when they get "more" and develop them even further!

Agreed.  I will take our chances with Harbaugh and top five classes.

Separately, it will be interesting to see how Dantonio does with a top ten class.  I hate MSU/Dantonio, but I respect Dantonio's ability as a coach.  However, he does rely on a "chip on his shoulder" card quite a bit.  I can't imagine the shtick works as well with blue chips who were recruited by all the big boys.

Adding the west coast guys would give us probably the best class ever in terms of recruit names. It's amazing that Harbaugh brings in elite talent and names in the same class.
