Ronnie Bell out for season
Ronnie just can’t catch a break. Feel horrible for him. Best of luck in his recovery, hopefully back next season.

LOL obviously photoshopped as Putin sheds tears for no one!
September 6th, 2021 at 3:05 PM ^
Maybe he's crying because the US has frozen one of his bank accounts...
September 6th, 2021 at 5:44 PM ^
He cries for Argentina!
September 6th, 2021 at 6:03 PM ^
How will Putin take out his anger & frustrations ???

What a loser you must be

Ohio kitty-cat fight!
September 6th, 2021 at 11:17 AM ^
Just popped up on my phone, confirmed by Harbaugh. I'm so sick for him; kid really bleeds for this team.

Seth with an explanation and a reminder about the official MGoBlog "No Yoder" policy:

(Edit @12:34pm:. Here's a link that includes the official U of M statement in 2019 regarding James Yoder:
September 6th, 2021 at 1:45 PM ^
My God…a “Yoder rule”? I can’t stand Yoder as much as the next guy but hot damn we are softer than toilet paper around here, aren’t we?
September 6th, 2021 at 1:47 PM ^
The dude posts fake content as part of his job description lol
September 6th, 2021 at 1:58 PM ^
Yoder "content" has been banned for probably 5 years or more, along with a handful of other questionable sources. It's all listed either by Brian in the FAQ section and/or listed and updated regularly by Seth at the top of each and every Moderator Sticky thread.
The MGoBlog "No Yoder" policy was here for at least a few years prior to the 2019 U of M Athletics official letter that clearly states YODER HAS NEVER HAD, NOR WILL HE EVER HAVE, U of M Media Credentials.
As Seth once again stated this morning, it's the responsibility of all who post to be knowledgeable about board policy. Seth, LSA, and/or I post reminders whenever the situation arises.
September 6th, 2021 at 2:47 PM ^
Fuck all the way off with that. Yoder is a parasite.

+1 (Insightful)

Who is this Yoder of whom you all speak? Seems I am lucky to have not come across his content.
That said, his name is close to Yoda who is an adorable creature...so when I see this Yoder bashing it creates a level of confusion and dissonance.
September 6th, 2021 at 3:04 PM ^
Nice try Yoder.
September 6th, 2021 at 6:19 PM ^
I hadn’t realized the Yoder connection, in fact I thought the earlier thread had no sourcing.

Highest yards per catch for the year?
September 6th, 2021 at 12:44 PM ^
He will definitely win the "highlight-reel plays per minute of PT" award for 2021. Let's all be thankful we got to see that one-handed catch before this happened. Possibly the greatest catch I've ever seen. (We are ignoring the awful call here.)
September 6th, 2021 at 2:47 PM ^
For those who missed THE CATCH.
September 7th, 2021 at 10:53 AM ^
That is one helluva catch, one of the best I've seen over the years but taken away by a ticky-tack flag.
BTW, the entire WMU-Michigan game is being shown today at noon on ESPN-U, for those who want to again watch Ronnie Bell's one and only game this season.
September 6th, 2021 at 11:20 AM ^
I had a feeling this was going to be a huge year for Ronnie. I just feel horrible for him. Wishing him a smooth recovery.
September 6th, 2021 at 1:30 PM ^
I still think he’s going to have a huge year. He’s a great leader and I believe he’s going to have a major impact on some of the younger receivers this year by mentoring them on a daily basis
September 6th, 2021 at 11:22 AM ^
Surgery, rehab and back stronger than ever to lead next years team.
September 6th, 2021 at 11:33 AM ^
Honestly, if the kid decided to enter the draft after this I couldn’t fault him. Rehab and get paid on their dime.
September 6th, 2021 at 11:40 AM ^
I am inclined to agreed but the only mitigating factor is that he was 5/6th round pick before the injury. With the injury I am not sure he is drafted.
September 6th, 2021 at 12:54 PM ^
A chance to prove you're healthy, show real production with an established quarterback (?), and get a little NIL cash seems a lot more appealing than a ton of draft uncertainty with a likely practice squad outcome.
Still devasting for Bell, and I feel terrible for him, but it's also a bit of a blessing that this happened so early in the year -- if all goes well, he can definitely be full speed to start next season.
September 6th, 2021 at 1:04 PM ^
His only shot at the league now will probably be as an undrafted free agent. Fortunately, he'll leave college with a master's degree.
The whole "professional in something other than sports" line became sort of cliche thanks to that NCAA marketing campaign, but it really is true. I believe Ronnie is set up for success in life thanks to his time at Michigan, regardless of whether he makes the league. Hopefully he has no regrets.
September 6th, 2021 at 11:25 AM ^
Welp, MN RB Mo Ibrahim also done for the year.
September 6th, 2021 at 1:47 PM ^
Damn, that is also awful news for that young man.
September 6th, 2021 at 11:26 AM ^
This sucks so bad
September 6th, 2021 at 11:28 AM ^
This sucks. I absolutely love his game. Get well soon, Ronnie.
September 6th, 2021 at 3:51 PM ^
He was reminding me of Desmond. And that's not hyperbole.
September 6th, 2021 at 11:32 AM ^
Between that drop against PSU and this, he just can’t catch a break.
I hope the universe makes it up to him by having him catch the game winning TD from McCarthy next year, in Columbus, in triple coverage, on a 65 yard Hail Mary as time expires, causing 105,000 OSU fans to all collectively ball their eyes out as Michigan goes to Indy.
September 6th, 2021 at 12:09 PM ^
How about he finishes with 313 yards receiving and we win relatively comfortably?
September 6th, 2021 at 12:21 PM ^
Ronnie Biakabatuka
September 6th, 2021 at 3:57 PM ^
Ronnie Bellakabatuka?
September 6th, 2021 at 11:36 AM ^
The try-to-feel-better-about-it quotes from the DetNews article:
“Fortunately everything is surgically repairable,” Harbaugh said.
“Bell will very much be part of the team in meetings and on the sideline,” Harbaugh said.
September 6th, 2021 at 11:39 AM ^
Too bad, Ronnie was off to a great start to what would have been a great season! I hope the surgery and rehab goes well and he is ready for a big 2022 season!
September 6th, 2021 at 11:40 AM ^
Well, that's just a big punch in the soul-dong. Best wishes to him.
September 6th, 2021 at 11:41 AM ^
Fucking sucks. Fuck.
September 6th, 2021 at 11:42 AM ^
Aaarrrgghhh! Feel bad for him. Best wishes for a full and speedy recovery!
September 6th, 2021 at 11:43 AM ^
Program is cursed.
September 6th, 2021 at 12:08 PM ^
Don't be a whiny little b*tch
September 6th, 2021 at 7:38 PM ^
Uh, we deserve to be cursed after Schembechler turned out to be another Paterno.
But the only difference is that Paterno won MNCs which clearly proves that this universe is unfair AF . Then again, we should all implicitly understand that by the time we finish 3rd grade.
