Robert Nkemdiche to Clemson
Looks like we still have a chance to get the # 1 class
But I'm happy to have top players go to a team that Michigan is unlikely to face.
Former recruit Mike Bellamy can think of another.
Now, you wouldn't kick any of them out of bed, but they're cute, but not drop dead gorgeous. The shorts probably make a lot of things look good. But a quick google search shows a lot more..enticing...pictures:
I think West Virginia just scored again
I have a buddy that is a big FSU fan and thus follows the ACC closely.
1) In the Orange Bowl the Clemson players were spotted out at the clubs the night before the game, as late as 8 AM. It is no wonder they struggled so mightily that night.
2) Clemson is definitely dirty. That is like saying the sky is definitely blue, however. There was some great chatter on The Fort today about this, including former Wolverine Will Heininger calling the Tigers, "one of 'those' programs".
Alright, he started, but did he finish? If not we don't really have a case.
/sorry, but you did it twice
Clemson has only set the opening bid.
They pull some straight up studs, but can never put it together. Very "Zookian" program.
I wouldn't say never. They were pretty damn good in the 80's. they had a pretty good run there winning a national championship and basically winning the ACC every year. As for the recent past though you are pretty much right
Duke, Maryland, NC, NC State, Wake Forest, Virginia, and GT. I mean, MSU could win that conference every year.
Good luck young man, best of luck and may UM never have to face you... I will never figure out why so many elite recruits still choose Clemson
I get the pull of schools like USC, Oregon, SEC, FSU, Alabama, etc, (some combo of weather, tradition, winning, NFL pedigree) but Clemson???
Clemson DLinemen have been going first round or early second round the past few years. This actually does not surprise me a whole lot. Sure he is passing on Bama, but the DLinemen Clemson has turned out is a pretty good list. That is the one area that I think they pull good talent on a regular basis
Not that anyone needs proof that this kid is legit. I teach/coach here in Georgia and we throw 7 on 7 with Grayson every year. He's every bit of 6'5 and at least 275. Oh yeah, he also runs a 4.5.
Great pick up for them. Maybe they'll put it all together one of these seasons and become an elite team.
Can't say I didn't see this one coming. He would be crazy to not go to a team that plays the best competition with a great coach and competes for a national championship every year. Wait, Clemson? Shit, nevermind.
Nick Saban gets on my nerves...
This is proof to those who say that Saban never misses on recruits.
I think Poggi is a better example. Heck yes.
They might make a run at the #1 class. You know they'll pick up more elite talent from the south.
No way. They already have 5 3-stars (only 2 of which are 5.7s) and a 2-star committed. Unless those guys decommit or they absolutely KILL it the rest of the way, they won't be in the top 5. Or they sign a huge class, which I suppose is possible. But outside of Nkemdiche and O'Daniel, their class isn't look good at all so far.
even if Fuller were to commit, the rest of their class (minus Dorian) are all 3 stars or worse. While a top 10 class is doable, they would have had to do more by now to have a real shot at the top 3
Don't worry, Bama got the nation's number 1 long snapper. Those fuckers.
1. Clemson recruited and got commitments from two of his HS teammates.
2. Dabo Swinney roomed and played with Nkemdiche's HS head football coach at Alabama.
SEC teams missed this one you guys, what happen? Either way i'm happy we want have to block this guy.
Dabo Swinney offerred Nkemdiche's HS teammate, a 3* CB (David Kamara).
This is a huge surprise to me, I thought Michigan State and their national recruiting prowess would help them land him.
and by that I mean Clemson will get some crazy good recruits, have a nice 9-3 year, build-up lots of hype for the next year, get epically blown out by someone, lose a few games inexplicably, and finish that season 6-6.
Repeat until world ends
This is all i'm going to hear about tomorrow at work.
college town. Small, rural and feels like everything is about the school, which it is.
No doubt he'll improve their defense. It always amazing me though that Clemson gets a bunch of 5 star athletes and does nothing with them. They'll blow out a top ten team them get 70 put on them in a bowl game. Last year was just another chaotic year there.
I wonder if that DC got the pink slip in the 1st or 2nd half?
"most experts still expect Nkemdiche to wait until Signing Day or later to ... actually sign."
Good thing we have the insight of those experts. I, for one, would like to hear from the ones who don't expect him to wait unti signing day to sign.
Just had to log in to say this is a great quote and made me laugh out loud at work.
Although watch out because I heard most experts still expect Shane Morris to wait until Signing Day to actually sign as well. Get Nervous!
He must have found out that his offer from Meyer was non-commitable.
His top schools before he picked Clemson was straight off of Sesame Street. One these schools just doesn't belong: Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Brigham Young...say what?
Good for Clemson. I'm happy he's not going to Alabama, or the SEC for that matter.
But I can't say I saw this coming. I thought he was going Alabama or Georgia.
This should definitely help us to stay in the running for the #1 class in the country.
This is definitely surprising. I figured Ole Miss would be the dark horse if he didn't chose Alabama.
Why Clemson? i mean t here isn't a Chic-Filet on campus!
It's Chick-fil-A, thank you very much
I've been to Clemson for a game before. The tailgating is awesome, the campus is beautiful, the women are gorgeous, the stadium is loud and the weather is consistently nice, and Clemson has a nice track record of producing NFL talent.
Surprised and happy he didn't end up at Alabama or LSU, although I could see him flipping before signing.
