Recruiting Guru Mike Farrell: "Nyckoles Harbor is now a strong Michigan lean"

I don't how reliable Mike Farrell is, but I'm just passing along the good news. In his latest recruiting notebook, he says, "5 Star ATH Nyckoles Harbor from Maryland is now a strong Michigan lean." Adding, "The dark horse is LSU here but everything I hear is that confidence is high in Ann Arbor."

For those who don't follow recruiting, Nyckoles is a freak athlete with near-Usain Bolt speed who will run track and play football. From what I've seen, he'll probably be a receiver, but might play edge. We want him.

Ferrell is about as reliable as someone who claims they have seen a taco bell bathroom stall that is clean and not covered completely in shit like 99.99% of the rest.

This has been the crux of the debate on this blog over his prospects as a football player here.  I am in the "he won't be able to play DE and be a high level track sprinter at the same time" club.  And because of his lack of much tape evidence as a WR, my excitement about his prospects here are guarded.  Still, you never know, and having him in the program will give him  a chance to possibly decide which route he'll go.

If making the Olympics is the top priority, then he shouldn’t play football. It doesn’t make sense to do all the college football things that will increase strength, his weight, and chance of injury.

Now what will make him more money is football and it seems most recruiting people thing DE is where he’d show the most talent. It’s a tough decision for him to make at this early.

One year in college will be really telling if he wants to chase the Olympic dream or NFL dream.

Lets stop comparing him to the fastest man of all time. Kid is not in Usain Bolts universe. Compare him to Matt Boling, maybe, not Usain Bolt. We don't compare HS QB's to Tom Brady, or receivers to Randy Moss, so let's at least be reasonable.
