Patricia/Quinn era over?

This does not seem like the kind of choke job one can recover from.

Especially with their upcoming schedule.

Why did they call that timeout?  That was just insane.  Poor Darrel Bevell - he has the perfect play call anddddd timeout.

I can hardly wait until the day that some team I really care about is a dynasty.  Man will that be great....

Why would it end so soon?  The people couldn’t wait to fire the coach that just took the Lions to the playoffs.  We’ve even had our own Fire Caldwell threads. Chatty Patty is a JOKE!

I hope not. I need the mediocrity to last one more season before we can let the bottom fall out for Trevor Lawrence. The Lions have never had a QB on a new rookie contract, that seems like the only way to reset the franchise at this point.

Let’s be honest here.   Every lions fan knew he wasn’t going to work out here getting the doors blown off against the jets week 1 last year.   He has a look of “oh fuck.  What am I doing?” Every time the camera pans to him

under Patricia’s watch the lions have played 2 season openers against horrible teams starting a rookie QB in there first games and have been embarrassed in both.

This is such a dumb take. Judging a head coach by his first game is just asinine. As if the T.V. cameras can somehow allow a total amateur to evaluate a professional football coach. Look, the Lions suck as a franchise, and Patricia may or may not be a good head coach, but let's stop with the silly takes.

The way the Pats are kicking Steeler ass right now makes me think it doesn't matter what goes on with the Lions or any other team for that matter. Everyone else is playing for SB runner-up.

I was listening on the radio and turned it off when the Lions went up 24-6 at the start of the 4th, figuring that since the Cardinals had been so inept on offense that even the Lions couldn’t blow this one.

Honestly I think it would be tragic if Quinn went down with the Patricia ship.  So far it looks like the young players are doing pretty well.  We've drafted better under him than we have in decades, and better than a lot of the NFL.

Decker is no All-Pro, and I'm still mad that Tunsil didn't fall far enough, but he's hardly a major bust.

Rest of the 1st round after Decker:

Keanu Neal, Ryan Kelly, Shaq Lawson, Darron Lee, Will Fuller, Josh Doctson, Laquan Treadwell, William Jackson, Artie Burns, Paxton Lynch, Kenny Clark, Joshua Garnett, Robert Nkemdiche, Vernon Butler, Germain Ifedi.

Not exactly a great list.

Golladay was a great pick.  Hand was a great pick.  Kerryon was solid.  Glasgow, A'shawn Robinson, Tracy Walker were all good value.

Tabor was a terrible pick but Quinn has still been good overall.  Last draft before Quinn:

-Tomlinson

-Abdullah

-Carter

-Wright

-Burton

-Diggs

-Robinson

Diggs in the 6th was nice and the rest of the draft was horrible.

Patricia should be gone; he seems grossly overwhelmed by this job, and I can't imagine he'll pull out of it any time soon.  He also seems like a bit of an asshole and an idiot, which isn't a good look for a guy who isn't winning.

Quinn I'm a bit more sanguine about because he's drafted fine these past couple of years and got some decent FA pickups.  This team isn't a Super Bowl contender on paper but they're also better than the way they're coached.
