I Believe!
I believe that we!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dude looks pretty good after all these years.
WW1 went pretty well too...
back to back world war champs
Gonzalez starting over Cameron. WTF?
starting too is even more WTF
Yeah thats scary. Cameroon was at fualt for the second goal because of ball watching, that is pretty much omars biggest weakness.
That's very difficult. Not to the point the ball is going to stop in spots (yet) but at the point its going to hydroplane. Nightmare for goalies. JK will be telling them to shoot low as much as possible today.
In terms of shooting this is an advantage for Germany who will get off more shots. In terms of passing it could help the U.S. since they will have less possession and you hope it disrupts Germany's tick tack passes. It does favor long passes in the air and speed however - which Germany is fine with.
Here's a chart of all possible outcomes today:

Rules of thumb: Win or draw guarantee advancement, close loss is still cool as long as the other game ends in a draw or a relatively close win for Portugal. If Ghana gets up a goal and US down 1, it gets complicated.
Don't we already have a thread for today's games?
You're right, the first two games I was not online, I was in a bar, and we won and drew. So I'll log off now. See you in a couple of hours.
OK, that works.
Wow, the "I believe that we will win" chant is really awful.
But let's do this USA!!
I agree. I don't think that we can become an elite football nation without elite cheers. Outlaw chants are weak. They need to spend some time at Yost.
If that happened here, it would be a national emergency. Except if you live in Seattle.
Little bummed that there's no liveblog for this. Oh well. Let's go USA!
#TieTheGame
that we will tie?
Can't believe he's seeing the field. Maybe he's a better swimmer than Diskerud...
There are no PKs in this round. In theory if Ghana wins close and US loses close we could go to something as lame as a toin coss.
love those US warmups... damn
Helpful infographic from SBNation:
Very difficult for me to swallow Brad Davis at 32 is better than Landon Donovan at 32, or 31 whatever he is as a spot starter in game 3.
Don't you feel like a dumbass for giving me crap about saying Cameron is not ready for this much pressure? Obviously Klinsmann agreed with me.
