Jacksonville is on the clock
With the first pick Urban Meyer selects crabs
...and Tim Tebow
Lawrence will be ok but he is no Tom Brady!
Everyone knows the draft really doesn't start until tomorrow.....
I think the first 15 minutes of this show was lame, really lame. Just get on with the draft...
...but more exciting than the Oscars!

Just curious why anyone would watch the oscars?
I ask myself the same question about NASCAR, opera, and Adam Sandler movies.
I'm guessing it's that whole "To each his own" thing.
I am not sure if this started when Disney took over, but a lot of products on ESPN are just way over-produced and like you said, lame. It’s unnecessary rubbish. Also can’t stand Kolber screaming into her mic to combat the rawk music during interviews.
Everyone knows the draft really doesn't start until tomorrow.....
For the record I have better hair than Trevor Lawrence
Wow both Clemson and Ohio St ran play action passes....
Cutting edge analysis by ESPN
When the draft starts the team picking number one should have to have their pick in right away . This draft wont be over until about 1 or 2 am . Ridiculous !!
You should have to pick a name out of a hat
That would make the draft infinitely more exciting
It could be like that Christmas gift giving game where you get to take other teams picks or go back to middle.
But a team might call with a trade offer with 0:01 on the clock! It could happen ?
With the 2nd pick the Jets select Urban Meyer's fleshlight
Zach Wilson looks like the kid from Over the Top.
Always forget just how terrible this viewing experience is.
Would have loved to have seen Lance in a Lions uniform.
ESPN: Kyle Pitts: "Best player in the draft"
Welp, this kid's NFL career is fucked.
As a Pats fan, Im hoping for another late round QB.
Pick one and two took 14 minutes of my life I will never get back. Why wait?
Curious if the NFL wants to milk the TV coverage and advertising dollars and tells that first team to wait.
NFL draft is like the NCAA basketball tournament. Lots of drama and excessive analysis but only a few surprises, especially early.
Lions phones should be ringing non-stop right now...
3 QBs taken in the first 3 picks, and Fields isn't one of them?! WOW! ?
Hopefully, that causes future QBs a bit of hesitation with going to OSU. ?
The past NFL Buckie QB performance isn't helping Fields IMO
I don’t think that matters as much as you think it does.
Burrow to Chase. 162 targets in 26 games 23 TDs.
where is Nico and DPJ in relation to that?
I'm guessing slightly less.
Well you are talking about the 1st receiver and 1st WR taken in their respective drafts.
And now it's the Loins turn. Here we go...
Something wrong with the Jets... You go for a QB who plays poor competition and had one good year during a pandemic... Best team played was Coastal something.
God bless the soul of the kid who is about to be picked next
I just hope to stay up long enough to see Kwity get drafted. His story is nothing short of remarkable and he deserves that big fat check he’s going to get tonight.
And as I’m writing this, the Lions take Suwell. Don’t the Lions already have a starting LT locked up for the next few years in Decker?
You can move him to RT if Decker beats him out for LT or the reverse; at this point I don't think you can have enough good linemen.

Best OT in the draft seems like a great value at 7. And he's young (20 yo).
If it wasn't the Lions making the pick, I'd be excited.
Nice pick by the Lions. Talented tackle and the type of guy who'll stabilize an improving line.
Excellent pick. An area of need

It's hard to argue with taking Chase, but my guess is that the Bengals will regret not taking Sewell. Sewell appears to be the rarer player.
Sewell is a beast!
The OL is the only position group the Lions did not desperately need to improve. What they need are explosive playmakers, either on O or D. Terrible waste.
Lions need to improve their play in the trenches. I’d agree that they need interior DL more but this draft is short on talent at that position group. They got the most talented OT in the draft. Short of trading back, I think it was about the best outcome the Lions could have realistically hoped for.

The 30th ranked rushing offense was fine at OL? GTFO.

They were fine relative the rest of the roster, which is in much worse shape. You're discounting the fact that they have a young line with lots of potential and two borderline stars at tackle and center. The other 2-3 players are very young but promising.
The data is pretty clear: OL virtually never merit top-10 picks. Only like 3-4 of them have justified the selection over the past decade. Most all-pro linemen today were picked in mid-rounds.

I've seen the Lions eat up a couple hall of fame explosive playmakers with one playoff win to show for it. I'm ok with (possible) long term left tackle.

This is an ice cold take. They took the best player available at 7. Did you want them to take somebody like Jeff Okudah? That worked out well.
Congrats... this by far is the worst take of the day.

Did you watch the last 2 years? The right side of the line was an absolute mess. Multiple times a game there were guys missing blocks in the running game or struggling to hold up in pass protection, basically killing drives. This pick fixes BOTH. What more do you want with a top ten pick?
Swift and Goff love this pick right now.
