OT: Most annoying commercials?
depending on the network (ESPN), commercials can get overplayed and cause people to hate them and turn on them really quickly.
Prime example is the Pitbull commercial during the 2011 football season that ESPN played non-stop. Don't even remember what the hell it was for. All I remember from every commercial break was "LET'S......HAVE A REAL GOOD TIME, LET'S HAVE A REAL GOOD TIME".
post the commercials you love to hate. i'm guessing i'll see many mentions of that annoying broad from progressive.
DISCUSS
Mathew McConaughey Lincon booger rolling commercials.
Glad I read all the posts, 'cause I was gonna say this one.
Hey Matt, I don't give a shit what you drive.

"What if the moon...was the sun, and the sun was, well Mars?"
...lol, okay buddy!
Those toyota commercials with Jan. Those make me want to sell my toyota
Every commercial with Scott Van Pelt. He is literally in every third commercial on Sling's ESPN channel. Kind of funny the first five times, but after that each replay is a kick to the nuts.
Soo annoying. At least the AT&T store chick is hot...
but for those of you who remember having to desperately grab for the remote whenever it came on:
Head On. Apply directly to the forehead!
Head On. Apply directly to the forehead!
Head On. Apply directly to the forehead!
AIIIIIEEEEEIEIEIIEIEIEIIEIE!!!
For some reason this commercial has run its course with me and I am done with Jake from State Farm. Also, any Sam Bernstein commercial annoy the heck out of me.

I cannot believe no one mentioned the horrendous Fallout Boy tune ESPN abused for every game intro, outro, hype, etc. Not only does it fail to meet a reasonable standard for "melody," the lyrics ("remember meeeeee, for centurieeeeeeees") play to this insane, stupid idea that everything NOW is SO IMPORTANT...as if anyone is going to give a shit about some college football star in 500 years.
Rick the goat is kinda funny for one time but after that meh.
Sip Sip
Dude, it's the deep dish Mombo Combo
Maybe it is only local to Connecticut, New York & New Jersey. The most annoying jingle ever put on the radio, it doesn't leave your head for hours and is always played 4x an hour

This is played on SiriusXM inscessantly also. And apparently there is a Cars 4 Kids also that claims to be the original. Perhaps they will fight to the death for the right to use the C or the K.
for their fish bites from a few years ago? I was so annoyed by that shitty jingle that I wrote them and told them that nobody likes to eat "fishy" fish.
They put out that shitty commercial while they're busy buying up west coast breweries like 10 Barrel and Elysian. I'm a St Louis native, and all I can say is screw those guys.

I also am so sick of the Jake from State Farm. God damn that commercial never stops playing for the last 5 years
If you're familiar with it, I know you sang it in your head. Most annoying commercial from my youth.

oh my god YES!! I hate commercials that try to make it sound like a natural conversation when you know damn well that she is reading right off a script. It makes me uncomfortable.

The Grant Hill one was pretty funny, but they have gotten really stale. Lily can GTFO as far as I'm concerned. Move on AT&T.
You youngsters haven't experienced annoying ads if Flo is at the top of your list.

Last, but not least, "Shamwow"
The Mazda commericals where they take someone like Bruce Lee, Frank Lloyd Wright, or the guy that invented mobile phoens and compare it to their shitty brand. Doesn't help that the announcer sounds ridiculously smug and that stupid "Safe and Sound" song is always playing.
Also, nomination for best commerical ever? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O4-e4nlfdRI
i think the subaru commercials are worse - incredibly emotional manipulative. the implication being that if you don't own a subaru, you hate your kids, the enviroment and are essentially a sociopath.
On the other side of the coin, here's an area classic. Mel Farr, super star, for a far better deal!

with all the creepy Flamily members are the worst.
On the funnier side, local ads by Stewart Auto Group of Pataskala are hilarious in a Green Acres sort of way. Youtube has some if you search for them.
Boren Brothers Dumpsters radio ads are awful...

I really, really hate the Infiniti commercial that's supposed to show how the automatic brake thingy can save your children. One vignette shows a guy backing out of a space in a completely empty parking lot and yet he can't see the one car coming down the aisle. His Infiniti saves the day! (Best part: There's no car in front of him! He could just go forward!)
The other has a lady who can't see a big fucking yellow school bus rolling down the road and almost backs into it while her daughters look at her like "mom, you almost got us messily killed!" Then Idiot Mom smiles contentedly in silent thanks to the godsend engineers at Infiniti who gave her the peace of mind she needs to continue driving like an ignorant twitmuffin.
So many commercials basically boil down to "Our customers are idiots! If you're an idiot, you can be one of our customers too!" but this one really takes the cake for putting people behind the wheel who are barely competent to function in society.
