good job jacobs, you dumbass. You fucked up your QB.

Actually you could say it was Eli's fault, the announcers speculated that on 3rd and short they were going to run the ball with Jacobs, but Eli saw man to man on Ramses Barden and neglected to tell Jacobs he was changing it up, therfore the miscommunication.
EDIT: beat me to it.

I live like 18 miles from where Ramses went to college and played ball. He was fun to watch, he would shred other defenses.

plain and simple. I actually gained respect for Eli he took that monstrous hit well I would still be down on the field.

You and everyone else on the board.
Apologies if The Mathlete is actually Jake Long.

but if Jake Long took that kind of hit, it would be the defender that ended up wrecked, on the ground, with a giant gash in his forehead. Jake Long would be unmoved like a heavy building in a gentle breeze.

Not the kind of hits you want your starting quarterback taking in preseason...

and Eli is saying it was actually his fault.

leaders always do. I just gained a lot of respect for Eli.

I'm tired of paying $700 rent and not having cable or a functioning TV in this damn basement. Sportstap should give additional notifications for things like this.

Against NFL Pre Season.
He is lucky something more serious didn't happen. Yes, a player can go down at any moment, but it would be terrible to lose your franchise QB in a scrimmage.
Drop the pre-season and add 4 more games to the schedule.

As the announcers pointed out, it looked like Manning changed the playcall without telling Jacobs, and on third-and-1 near the goalline I think everyone expected a run. It was actually a good call by Manning to change the play, and I can understand why he didn't make a formal audible there (it might tip off the Jets as to the mismatch). Just a random bit of bad luck, but he looks to be okay.

Anyone see how/ if he played yesterday? I didn't want to start a new thread.

I watched the game, looking for him the entire time and did not notice him. Also as a Jets fan, read a bunch of reports this morning and there was no mention. Really surprising if he didn't get into the game, as our #4 cb (would be 5 if Revis rejoins the team) Drew Coleman was and has been terrible. The safety depth is pretty good, but if we don't get Revis back I hope the Jets give him a look at cb as well.

Go Blue! Both in college and the pros!

That hit was absolutely brutal looking.

I bet next time Eli will make sure that chinstrap is tight.
