The start of a new season with hope and promises for Detroit Lions glory.....just like the cubs in baseball.
FG on opening drive......it's all roses and good times from here.
I'm intersted how the offense looks this year. With Linehan out, I wonder if the offense will still be dependent on chucking the ball downfield.
Anyone know of one?

i take joy in the fact that every fan in the country except Sparties (and probably some small number of contrarian Browns fans) are patiently waiting for Hoyer to get out so we can see Manziel play. All alone again.

The self-sack by Orlovsky is an interesting move by NFL standards. I have to wonder if that catches on actually. Probably not, but I compliment him for seeing the problem and folding before anyone had a chance to proactively implement a less desirable altenative. This is where the NFL yet again intersects the corporate life.

I can't imagine he is around long unless they carry 3 QBs again. If stafford goes out fold the season so it doesn't matter.
Pretty bummed they weren't able to bring Shaun Hill back. That guy understood the game plan, maybe better than Stafford.
Step 1: Find Calvin
Step 2: Throw it to roughly his side of the field.
Step 3: PROFIT!

Agreed on all fronts. If he gets a fair shake I would be shocked if he beats out Bradford in STL.

Now should I think the Lion's defense is so good or Cleveland's offense is so bad and should I assume the Brown's defense is so good or the Lion's offense is so bad.
I think I'll take Lion's and Cleveland's offense suck.
Like my friend said. Hope Stafford is durable because Orlovsky is turrible.

Can't believe how many times they mentioned he was playing with the second team Oline. Never once did they bring up the fact that he was going against Lion's backups on D. I would have loved to see Suh plant that cocky little sh**.
