The closer it gets… I just don’t know about the 12-team playoff. There will be little purpose to many late season games, because teams will know they are locked into the playoff.
Brian’s opening observation was interesting to me. More TE sets and more snaps under center. Just a part of the plan for this game? Or is playcalling going to change more with Gattis gone and new OCs?
I feel like there are a bunch of dumb injuries every time we play Maryland. A few years ago that’s when Ojemudia got hurt. Last year is when Higdon and Gary got hurt. Now Dwumfor and Collins and DPJ.
Can we send Maryland back to the ACC or wherever they came from?
Update: The start of today’s game has been suspended. Game time will be announced once determined. Michigan Stadium gates remain closed. They would open 1 hour prior to game time.
I think that Michigan may have a bit more zone read QB runs in the playbook, but they aren't taking it out of the bag yet. So many mesh handoffs this season, but until tonight Patterson almost never kept the ball.
Didn't feel great in the first half. A lot of that was probably Northwestern playing out of their minds - you could tell they came out with more fire than Michigan. Some of that may be on Michigan's coaches, but probably moreso Northwestern's.
It means something that Michigan was able to fight through the adversity and come out with a win. A late-game touchdown drive for the win is a meaningful accomplishment and should help build strength for this team going forward.

Go Blue.
Huge TD.
Need a drive. Need points.
Sample size on fielding punts last week was not good.
Apple Watch high heart rate alerts coming up…
Need a drive and points. Need to stay a score ahead.
Only a FG but good turn of events to open the half and now be up two scores.
1st quarter made it seem like it was going to be easy. It’s not going to be.
Come out fighting. Get a stop on UW’s first drive.
Dumb.
Yikes but I’ll take it.
Awesome long drive to start the game.

This game is tied? Ok.

Need to find some rhythm on offense. Would be good to sustain some sort of drive right now.
Dax whiffed in two blitzes last week. Figured it out this week. Ouch.
I can’t believe what’s happened to Florida State football. In a fight in closing minutes with UL Monroe.
Wasn’t all that long ago that they were a power. Now their stadium is virtually empty and they are terrible.
So many mistakes in this game.
Certainly less concerned about the RB position than I was going into the season.
Welcome back Ambry
I love mgoblog for posts like this. Better than garbage OT posts.
I would not want to retroactively claim a bunch of historic titles. Alabama can get away with it because they are winning games in the present.
I guess it would give me a few more options for watching games at noon on the east coast...
Woof.
This is sad. West Virginia will never find a more West-Virginia-looking coach than Holgorsen.
Current blood pressure: high
try hitting the page buttons at the bottom instead
That makes me nervous. Kicking woes are so scary.
I’m confused.
Dumb
This game has now officially entered the dumb phase.
MSU’s punter doesn’t have much of a leg. Have to capitalize on field position here.
MSU is going to try to slow down and slog through this game to try to keep it close. Defense needs to get stops.
Touchdown.
Geez at least we aren’t playing this game in Wisconsin. Snow Bowl.
Weather delay may actually be okay. MSU’s adrenaline can be washed away. Maybe the MSU students won’t come back.
Could’ve just used that big annoying yellow banner at the bottom rather than making me miss a part of the game.
Oh hey look, we scored!
Geez. D-line injuries are rapidly becoming a serious concern.
I hate how much yellow there is in the bottom bar of this broadcast. Can’t tell what’s a flag or what is a score update.

Absolute garbage play. Maryland player got to be thrown out. Garbage.

That drive was... better.
Some pass interference calls in recent weeks have been suspect. That one was not. Yikes.
Defense may have an actual problem with slants I’m the slot. Teams know and attack it.
With 2 mins or more remaining in the half, the clock starts in the ref’s ready for play signal. Less than 2 mins it starts in the snap.
…
Good blitz pick up there.
Definitely seeing improvement on the OL.
