Listen, when you can reward a guy for completing 50% of his passes for 6 ypa and an INT, you gotta do it.

If anything, I'd give it to their defensive line.  They were able to slow down Iowa's running attack (along with ANOTHER fortunate injury for them with AIRBHG coming down from on high).  Scott was fine, but he was just the guy MSU used to bludgeon a tired Iowa at the end.  London was just as good.

Scott was a YAC machine. That was as impressive of a running back performance on a single drive I can remember seeing. I think Cook got it because he was clearly playing hurt. What a jerk though. I think he is talented but I think he is a diva, and I don't think he will be well received in the NFL unless he is able to develop some degree of humility which he ckearly does not possess right now.

This is like the time the Colts won the Super Bowl and Peyton Manning played terrible, yet somehow he won the MVP. It's like the people who decide have decided before the game starts.

It is going to be Clemson. Didn't see anything yesterday that would move them "passed" Oklahoma in the rankings. Would be good for State because Clemson could have more of a shoot out feel. The only way I think the Committee pits them against Bama is if they decide they need to gets these clowns out of there before the NC game. I watched Bama yesterday and they will murder State. 1st degree murder. State can compete with the rest if them but not the Tide. They are going to win it all in bloody fashion.

I've never looked at Griffin's stats, but I have no clue why he won the heisman in 1975.  He had 1450 rush yards and 4 tds. The NCAA leaders that year had 25 TDs rushing (from OSU) and 1957 yards rushing (Ricky bell from USC). Archie griffin was #6 in yards behind bell, tony dorsett, herb lusk, chuck muncie, and louie giammona.  Dorsett was a way better back in 1975 and won the heisman in 1976.  He should be the two time winner, not archie 4ft griffin. but clearly there were more deserving candidates than griffin.

He even realized what he was doing. I really doubt it because Dantonio would probably kick his ass for disrespecting Archie.

Dan Antonio was standing right there watching the whole thing and patted him on the back. He's always bitching about being disrespected, but never seems to mind being a complete jerk to others. Like when a UM assistant coach was giving a talk at a coaching clinic and Antonio stands up in the middle of it and starts yelling at him. I think Cook has been taking Dan's Lasting Life Lessons to heart. I never really hated MSU until he douched his way in there.

By "he" I meant Dantonio, not Cook. When he threw his little hissy fit about Mike Hart's comment I knew I disliked him on a personal level. And I agree with you - when they wrenched Denard's head around after he was down, I realized he coaches poor sportsmanship and dirty play. Prior to him, I had a kind of fond affection for MSU. Even Saban wasn't a dickhead when he was there.

Dantonio and respect?

He probably told Cook to not even look at Griffin.  I know Dantonio is supposed to have some "morality" because newspaper guys say so, but if you look at his track record he's just a massive a-hole.

Yeah. I mean it does look pretty douchey, but when I clicked on this, I expected that he actually said something. Would be better if the title didn't have it a quote about a quote that didn't happen. Titles of articles, books, etc. aren't given in quotes for a reason.

I agree for the most part, but Clemson does have a great D-line.

EDIT: I also hate the Bama-MSU matchup because those are the teams I least want to see win it all. I'd rather Clemson or Oklahoma win it, but now we're guaranteed to have Bama or MSU in the championship game.
