OT? Apparently Milton did connect on bombs in practice...

So Joe Milton posted on IG, a video apparently from a practice or scrimmage. He tagged Tarik Black, who he hit on a deep pass. Obviously we didn't see much of this in game, but the rumor was that he may have been connecting on these in practice. Thought I would share with the board for those interested in rehashing the "what could've beens".

Well there was one clip of JJ connecting on one deep pass, in practice, and it was posted and played on every Michigan related site and social media page just a couple of weeks ago. People went crazy over that, maybe Tennessee fans will do the same for Milton.

2016 Speight was decent with the deep shots.  Even in the Iowa game, that was hard to watch, if Darboh holds on to that pass late in the game Michigan wins.  Not saying Speight was a world beater, but he was solid with Darboh and Chesson on the outside.  That pass in the Wis. game was on the money.

In terms of raw completions, I'm sure Denard has the lead against most if not all recent Michigan qbs. Whether those passes were good and not just spectacular catches by Hemingway and Roundtree is another story. But hey, at least he gave his guys chances which probably could've doubled Nico's tds if he played with Denard

I’ve said this a few times in various threads. Milton has all the tools of a guy who thrives in a practice environment but can’t put it all together in a game when he’s facing live pressure.

When it’s a grad assistant tossing you a “snap,” the defense is playing two hand touch with the QB, and all you have to do is take your 3-5 step drop and let it fly, Milton is a great QB. With his arm talent, he can make any throw.

When he faces people that want to take his head off, he faces pressure and has to leave the pocket while reading a defense and going through his progressions, then his mechanics break down and he loses his composure and accuracy. Just can’t seem to put it all together in a live game environment.
