And his now deleted tweet:

Did the bunny ears show up on TV or was it too late?

Was merely counting down "the cheese" for the photographer. Two is the highest integer a Buckeye can manage. They perform even worse without using fingers, which is a real problem given where their fingers are usually lodged.

I usually dont engage in focusing on the behavior of kids on another team, glass houses and all, but this is very disrespectful. I would definitely be ashamed of a UM student who did this. I think it looks bad on the OSU football team.

Or it should. It's too bad so many conflate their view of the person in office with the stature of the office, and in turn blow off actions such as this.

I don't think you ever do anything that could be construed as disrespectful to the President of the United States.  I believe it's infinitely worse to behave that way in the White House.  Because he's an institution in that building and not merely a figurehead.

You're not even allowed to sit down without his permission in the white house.

For those claiming this is some hugely disrespectful act, get over yourselves. Obama is president, but he's also human, he probably thinks it's funny himself. Stop being so serious where you can't even enjoy a joke.

The consequences of giving bunny ears isn't going to affect foreign or domestic policy, and no one is going to think less of the office because of it. If it was Netanyahu or Putin giving bunny ears, you may have a point, but it's a football player... People are offended at everything these days.

But not surprised nonetheless coming from an OSU player. They ain't come to play school or show respect. I've yet to meet an OSU "graduate" who has impressed me. Most of them have yet to learn to weaken belts, not wear flat brim hats, and that OSU hoodies are not considered "business casual" in most situations. Bob Ufer was wrong - it's a stadium on 90,000 truck drivers and nothing else. I wouldn't hire someone who happened to drink and sleep around in Columbus for four years if my firm's livelihood depended on it.

It's the paramount concern of our time. Forget the economy, race relations and nuclear weapons. We must tackle the bunny ears now before it's too late.
