Ohio State team captain Michael Bennett gave President Obama bunny ears during their team photo at the White House.

And his now deleted tweet:

Did the bunny ears show up on TV or was it too late?

I really doubt Obama gives a shit, but yes let's rip the kid for showing "disrespect" because he plays for a team we don't like. Give me a break.

If our guys were there and one of them did this, we'd think it was great.

I am not even going to try and say it's disrespectful, since it appears that the President is ok with it from other pictures.  More so, I just hate Ohio State, therefore by association, this is just wrong.  But then again, if an Ohio State player saved a puppy from a burning building I would be mad he didn't save the puppy sooner since the puppy probably inhaled some smoke...Gotta love rivalries...

I would like to see the ages of those who think- meh, and the ages of those who say, a little disrespectful. My two cents, it's not offensive, but I would never do it and I'd ask my daughter not to do it.

Oh for fuck's sake.

(Yes, by commenting I'm kinda part of the problem.)  Sure, it's amateurish and not really a great look, but do we really expect an OSU player to know better?  This is harmless, juvenile fun that even Obama himself gives zero fucks about and if you say it's because he disrespects the office of the the presidency and America in general than go pound sand.

At any rate, a third (fourth? fifth?) thread on this kerfuffle is pretty much DJ Byrnes-level aggrievement.

I think Reagan started it, and Presidents have been doing it ever since.

What the hell does the President have to do with an NCAA football champion?
