That was fucking awful.

4 seconds is plenty of time to get a good look. Everyone doesn't need to be at half court.

Stauskas takes that ball at the opposing 3 point line and takes 3 dribbles and gets the 3 in the air. Period.

Played too much down the stretch. You gotta live with Doyle and Donnal for the last three minutes. Plus I thought it was a mistake to not throw in some zone to protect the bigs from fouls. Especially with 25 seconds left when you know Nova was gonna have a set play dialed up against man. And not having rebounders on a 1 and 1 for Donnal. Plus, having Max in for the last pass.

Oh, I'm sorry. That was a perfectly officiated game! When the Villanova player's arm made direct contact with the Michigan player's arm and made his body twist and fall as he attempted his shot, that was fully consistent with the rules of basketball. Is that better?

Would have preferred consistent calls at the end for both teams, but I feel good about this team going forward. We have players who can score when they need to, we have a top-tier coach (the OOB play was beautiful, and unfortunately I think that block was clean) and our players will improve.

The problem is that although the block was clean, they called much weaker fouls all night. The inconsistency in basketball reffing is probably the most infuriating thing in all of sports.
